Another one added to the list.
I find it a bit ironic I was so blind for so long. I guess I wanted to believe...
...yet so many others saw it. But barely a week goes by that I don't meet someone new, or strike up a new conversation, where the other person doesn't say the same thing.
The same thing as all the rest of them.
The same thing.
Over and over.
I find the ironic humor in women that complain, "I'm still single because all I meet are crazy men, users, game players, drug addicts, drunks, men with no ambition, men with no goals, men with no job..."
And then ask, "Where are all the gentlemen than know how to treat a lady? That have a job? That have ambition? That like to have fun and do things? Why can't I just find someone normal?!!?"
nor·mal adjective \ˈnȯr-məl\
2: a : according with, constituting, or not deviating from a norm, rule, or principle
b : conforming to a type, standard, or regular pattern
So, see? By definition, you ARE meeting the normal ones. What you actually want is someone extraordinary.
You know my theory: if you hang out with douchebags, odds are all you will date are douchebags. Want to date someone other than a douchebag? Change the people that you hang out with.
Good luck on your search.

Bravooooo. XD
I think it's annoying. If they stopped hanging around douchebags, they'd stop dating douchebags.
Simple, really.
And then there is me: I'm to busy to date.
Besides have you seen my Weeniez? Really, have you seen them?! ;)
Yeah, I have... actually.
Hours after they were born... every time they come to visit...
;)
I agree......which is why several years ago I decided to go outside my comfort zone. After a couple more toads....I found the man I chose to marry. :)
As the saying goes......BE the Change you want.
Exactly.
I couldn't agree with you more!
This batch of chickens has been the healthiest batch yet. Out of eleven, ten have made it to full grown without any leg issues.
I credit restricting their diet more, and having them intermixed with fast, egg-laying chickens, too.
I completed the cycle with six of them this past Sunday. I need to set aside a couple hours this weekend to finish the other four.
The wedding tonight was awesome. My friends are amazing people.
However, the event reminded me a few realizations I wrote about several years ago...
So now I'm home debating... sleep, or drink.
Oh... and... HA! She thought I was 32. Silly, flattering, girl....
HA! Sorry, I have to laugh at that one.
That's some funny, ironic shit right there...
Up early on a Sunday?
Yep. Out in a rain storm to capture the start of a Triathlon.
Back for coffee, steak burritos before going to grab the kids and head for parts unknown.
Happy Father's day to all the dads out there.

Thank you. Happy Father's Day.
Happy father's day, sugar- have a great time.
Hope you have a wonderful day with your family.
I need a lot of water this morning.
Killing off a bottle of wine, then moving on to scotch, while shooting in studio until 1AM... makes for a rough morning.
Such a busy week. And an amazing turn of events in life...
...I've been out to dinner 3 times this week, with women, and not once had to pick up the tab.
Unprecedented in my life. Someone actually taking care of me.
I'll take it.
Always interesting when you find those bits of evidence that prove you were lied to for a long, long time.

Very, very sorry to hear that. I do know very well how that feels.
All those great photos in my portfolio here - most were taken with my trusty Nikon D40X.
That camera has seen a lot of miles, has been soaked in storms, has been battered by blizzard and sand, been pinned between me and a rocky hill, dropped, thrown, mashed under airplane seats and on this latest adventure, drenched by waves while kayaking....
....as I edit some low light photos I took on this last trip, I'm noticing... dozens. Literally dozens of dead pixels in the sensor. They show up as bright red, blue and green spots in the dark areas of the photos. I will mask many of them in photoshop, but I fear this is getting to be the end of the road for my beloved D40X...
So sad.

Should we give it a decent burial out by the flame?
I still pull mine out, leave the D90 in the bag on some places. It really is just a great camera.
Sorry to hear you are losing yours. :(
Today: Photography in the rain.
I still need to edit Wednesday night's photos. They're so awesome, I can't wait!
You don't know until you know.

Very true words.
Along with it's Canadian corollary "It is what it is"
I don't think Canadians invented that one. We used to say that on the medical project all the time.
The new one I have on my current job is "Vetted."
Everyone says "vetted."
They use it for everything.
"We vetted the solution."
"We vetted this process for weeks."
"We vetted out this plan of action."
"We vetted the cream cheese on bagels we vetted with a knife..."
It should be a fucking drinking game.
I went Kayaking tonight, and then toured the grain elevators that are to be turned into a rock-climbing gym with the tallest climbing walls anywhere in the world.
I need to get a kayak.
I need to learn rock-climbing.
Sorry for the melancholy. I was recently informed that cancer took another beautiful friend from my life recently...
My heart struggled to mend from the last one. This one really hurts...
Feh.

I am so sorry. I can relate in very different but similar ways. Take care of you, you are in my thoughts and prayers.
I'm sorry sugar- my thoughts are with you. We all can relate on loss, but to lose two that close together- Sorry is all I can say.
B, you know where I stand on this. This destructive disease has no place in our world. We are so much stronger than the cells it hides within. I despise every battle it wins. And I lay blessing upon all those who have lost love and struggled through the chaos of ths monster. I give you my deepest sympathy and pray that the one lost, finds a better world than the one left to us.
*hugs* Sorry to read about your friend. Such a life changing illness, for all of those it effects.
Sad. Sorry. :(
