When you call someone 3 times and they don't answer, perhaps you can just assume they're busy?

My day yesterday was one thing after another. Sorry to disappoint you that I didn't jump to your phone calls, but I do also have a life to live, and I know the conversation is basically just going to be me counseling you.

You do have a therapist. I mean, I'll listen to a point, but you're paying the therapist.
