I'm old enough to remember when people constantly complained that they needed a vacation....

Basically rewiring the entire house at this point. Still need to find a cavity that I can run lines from the basement to the attic, but getting into rewiring a hack-job outlet installed with bare knob-tube in the dinning room, I discovered the entire 1st floor that wasn't ghetto lamp cords running through holes drilled in the open floor were old aluminum BX, and it horrible condition.

Lines run through cold air returns. Lines stapled to the bottom of floor joists instead of drilled through properly - even if there was an existing path through the joists. Living room outlets on the same breaker as basement lights, an entrance light, the dining room's only outlet, one random outlet in the kitchen....

So disorganized. They might as well of had one outlet and plugged everything into it like a Christmas Story.

Finally, a day above 50F and no rain or snow. Got so much done today!

Tomorrow - inside work because it's supposed to rain again. Fucking fuck....

I mean, if we get to the point where all seems lost, and you want to take yourself out, then maybe drink the lysol and bleach...

Right? I mean, I knew that was inevitable....

People are so bored, the aesthetics are fantastic!

Well, I know at least one person who will have no issues with an even more prolonged shutdown....

Protesting for the right to catch a deadly virus?

Huh.

Enjoyed a nice hike along the Niagara Gorge yesterday. Managed to avoid all the families and fishermen.

Such a pretty area.

Hopefully we make the cut.

I'm not going to stop anyone from expressing their political opinion, but when you clearly have your head up your ass, I'm certainly not going to respect it, or discuss it.

Watching The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel - just started season 2, and I have to ask, is this a realistic depiction of how people acted in the late '50s - early '60s?

if so, how the hell did I survive being raised by those generations?

"Inspiring at first but Jesus"

I find this comment disturbing on a few levels. First, there was no Jesus. Social distancing and all, and he's the social distancing champion. No one has seen him for thousands of years. He certainly wasn't going to come back for this.

And second, if you found any part of this movie inspiring, that's troubling. It was a lark. Satire. Parody. Where was the inspiring?

We made a movie. A movie that is actually a trailer for a movie that doesn't exist but is a combination of two movies that do exist.

Have I lost you yet?

Listening to a podcast where a female friend of mine is discussing sex, and BDSM while dealing with COVID and quarantine, as a guest on the show.

She runs a sex shop - she is not a counselor or therapist.

She knows the basics, but the host of the show seems amazed by the things she's saying. Like every other word is a revelation of things he never considered.

Given his listenership is probably about 4 regulars, he might be the only one actually learning something.

My garbage Spectrum provided Wifi router just turned off spontaneously.

Given this has already been replaced twice in a little over a year, and we currently have no options other than working from home, this feels completely in line with their shitty services, and service levels that I've come to expect.
