In shadows deep where daylight dies,
The moon ascends with silent cries.
Beneath its cold and silver gleam,
A hunger wakes from fevered dream.
The winds, they stir, a mournful hymn,
As darkness crawls on every limb.
Eyes like embers, burning bright,
Seek the pulse that flees the night.
Silent steps on cobbled stone,
A fleeting breath, a stifled moan.
The scent of life, a fleeting lure,
A touch that no one can endure.
In stillness, hearts forget to beat,
In hollow streets where shadows meet.
For when the sun begins to fade,
The thirst returns, a debt unpaid.
And those who walk where no light treads,
Will never sleep among the dead.
