Interesting info about gold.
Over the past 4 months the price of gold has only changed about $150 from a low of $1600 to a high of $1750. The previous 4 months before that it swung over $350. In July 2011 it was in the $1550s to pushing $1,900 in Sept.
Gold was around $200/oz in 2000 and hit an all time high of $1,920 last Sept. The real upswing started in 2005 but didn't pick up real steam until 2009.
The price of gold averaged around $400/oz for 25 years but in the past 4 years it rose over $800 alone.
(btw, I started urging friends to buy gold in 2003 when it was incredibly low)
35% of gold is used in investments, 50% jewelry and the rest in industry or held by private/central banks.
Gold has been mined for at least 7,000 years and yet all of the gold EVER mined would only fill up 2 swimming pools. The total amount of gold produced in all history is ~167,000 tonnes. (On the other hand more than 24,000,000,000 tonnes of iron are mined yearly!)
The total value of the world's mined gold is: $8,921,600,000,000 or enough to pay roughly 60% of the US federal debt.
This is a real story.
I just heard a 78 year old ask an 11 year old boy "does that feel comfortable on your penis?"
Sooo funny.

ok, i don't get it.
Was hoping to get some more reactions.
I was watching an episode of "Joan and Melissa" and Joan Rivers took her grandson to an indoor rock climbing place and when they were putting on the harness she asked him if it felt ok bc the last time he wore something like that they had it too tight & it hurt.
Just seemed really funny in a few contexts.
