Entwined
Somewhere I know our lives have crossed, our paths had to meet, because you are so familiar to me. I know not the sweetness of your lips, yet I taste you. I know not the feel of your skin, yet I do. I long to see you again. I wonder how longs its been.
Oh my as I call out to you, do you know we
are entwined, when you are hurting within or without, I know it, I feel your pain. Your not alone, I feel the cold shiver you have standing in the rain. Entwined, one in the same, we must find our place in time.
In eons past where could it be. Hard to place my finger on so many fragments of broken history.
Tell me, were you the merciful man , that dug a shallow grave, for this unknown lady , life's slave. Beside that dark river you shed tears for someone you had never known, yet still you cry. Staring across the river, your tears still falling, you face the moon and wonder why.
Questioning myself, a repressed memory surfacing. Was I the one that sat by the bed where you laid, sick from life, touched with plague. so weak you could not raise your hand, I held it in mine? We had been entwined so long, and with a weak smile you looked at me one last time, and were gone. On the banks of that dark river, where they laid you to rest, under the moon, loves last chore, that it becomes clear in the darkness, Both have been here before. Entwined.
In our on distant history, were we holding each other in tight embrace. I close my eyes to see us entwined to one. Generations will move forward, lives will go on, empires rise only to be turned to ashes, till we entwine, finding forever our space, then someday our time. It is destined . we are "entwined"
