Thinking I would not have any trick or treaters....but stayed dress just in case the two I look forward to.... if they get time... but not expecting them as they said nothing about coming by... but....kind of hope so.. did not say anything to them.. life, busy, they are growing up... then the knock came that I know it is Cat's special knock... and.. they SHOWED!

:D

I am so the old Aunt who lives alone.

lol

;)

Ok- now I can get my nightgown on to watch ghost shows.

Now it feels like Halloween. :D

Office is cool, but I have my Halloween sweater on so not a big problem. Of course the little bells at my wrist is driving me nuts...

O.o

:)

Can't wait to get home- left overs, cupcakes, and Ghost Hunters await. If I get home in time might get a viewing of Hocus Pocus in as that is the one movie I have missed this year.

So- I have some movies I try to watch every year during Halloween. Do you?

1- Hocus Pocus

2- Alien. I know not a horror, but still..

3- Ghost and Mr. Chicken, in honor of my childhood.

4- Practical Magic

5- The Craft

These I have to watch as the seasons turn dark, the ghost rattle chains, and leaves carpet the earth.. *evil laughter*

:D

Cold weather.. as in 30's ... is calling off the exploring trip for in the morning. :( People around here are talking ice on the roads in the morning.

If it is going to be that freaking cold- I want snow. SNOW I TELL YA!

*ducks as Birdy takes a swing at her*

:D

Went out to dinner, the three of us. Was fun. Cat was in a grumpy mood, little sleep last night it seems. But we got to talk, Birdy all feathers ruffled at her new house she and the hubby got. :) Thinking she is going to spend this Christmas in her new home, with a new hubby... wow. Her life sure has changed. All her dreams have come true it seems.

So maybe I can get to town to see Paranormal 3, take Cat's sis with me, and her daughter. A girls afternoon horror outing... sounds like fun.

Sunday is ritual day, and cupcake day for me. I need to make several- for the ritual and for the family. I found some harvest color suger I have had for a few years, never open. They will look really good. And some chicken to cook in the dutch oven, maybe BBQ.. mmm...

And all the horror movies on TV this weekend- guess it is a good weekend to stay out of old abandoned buildings. That is till next weekend. :D

Random question for ya-

How do you take your socks off?

Do you reach down, hand up the pant leg, pull them off?

Sit down and pull them off?

Or be like me and do the dragging of your feet on the carpet till they are off?

lol

I know--- but I wonder these things. ;)

It depends on the socks, but USUALLY (unless it"s knee socks), I use the toes of each foot, at the same time, to "grab" the sock from between the toes on the other foot and ... pull apart, thus removing my socks. o.o

PhoenicianDream

11:20 Oct 29 2011

I either bend my leg and remove them with my hands grabbing at the top of the sock, or if I'm too tired for all of that jazz I use my prehensile toes to grip them at the top side of the opposite foot and pull them off. I imagine this trick will come in handy when I'm soon too fat to see my own feet.

I use my toes as well. I do the whole "hook a toe and yank down".

I thought I was going to be weird saying that but that seems to be the common answer here.

Random stuff so...

Wildchild is an ass. Talking all about the snow they are getting already. :P

Looking forward to having Otter closer by. Once she is settled in I so want to get together, take her out to some abandoned buildings if she wants to. Nothing else to ask her to take my photo, paying her of course. A dream come true- to have her do my photo. :)

Work is slow...really slow. No work this week, none for the rest of the year even. Phones are dead. This is normally our slow time with the holiday season coming on, weather turning cooler. But still... really wish something would change.

I gave one guy a warning- seems he did not listen to me and I got another complaint from a customer. Sticky fingers... while he tells me he did not do it, I have to fire him. To small of a town to have even rumors of that going on. And my name on the truck. While he has been with me for years- he has changed. Always in need for a draw on his check, actions tell me he is using drugs. As he is not the driver... still. Time for him to move along. And with the hours we are getting- even a part time job would pay more then me.

Thinking it is time to explore a little. Lynch is calling to me- the old coal mining town. Hope Cat is up to a 5:30 am wake up on Sat. :) That way I can be inside the buildings right at sunrise.

Thinking of doing a ritual Sunday night. Maybe a tarot card reading. I have not done a ritual on Hallows Eve for Dad yet, but think I am ready to do so now. I need to write one up first, get some things.

Got some billing done yesterday- :) Well... my billing. Sis does the military part which I hate to do, the new system I have not even tried to learn yet. But the bills I sent should keep us running till 2012, and might even make the down payment on the cargo/truck/building insurance due the first of 2/2012.

Phone books are here, along with all the folks that come with them. The bathroom is busy place in the office. One stop by yesterday and offered me a few dollars for all the toilet paper they was using. O.o I told her to keep it, no biggy. Now if she wants to clean it.. as I did this morning. With me here I clean it like every ten days or so.. with 30 people here- every other day.

Ok- think that is all I want to type, say, share, get off my mind.

Work to do, bank to go to, property taxes to pay, and books to post to.

:)

Taking a break from typing out some bills to read the AOL news. I been waiting to see if the one killer of the Petit family in Cheshire, Conn. had been giving the life sentence today or not when another headline caught my eye-

Lohan- What she's doing for nearly $1 million

I said outload to myself- I bet she is doing a nude shot. And yeap, she is. Playboy layout.

Why is this chick not sitting in jail someplace? She tells the judge she can't do this and that due to her being an actor, working. At what? The latest I saw from you was a music video that showed just how much you spent on a boob job. Lord knows you can't sing.

And who the hell put your makeup on the last time you went to court? That brown slash you call blush was fuck ugly. It aged you by 20 years, not that the drugs ain't doing a number on ya face. Just can't believe someone did not say "What is that on your face? Good god- wipe that shit off."

Get my renewal paperwork from the State Transportation Department the first week in September. I sent in my For Hire cert paperwork as I need that paper work back, to renewal my Household Mover Cert.

I mailed it in as it takes these people freaking ages to send anything out. And last year it was hell getting it done. But no.. they are not due to the first of the year so.. Plenty of time, right?

I called two weeks ago when I had not gotten my For Hire back. They said they processed it and sent it out on the 24th of September.

Okkk.. Well I don’t have it. Can you send me another copy? “We don’t do that.” “But if I don’t have it and it is a month since you sent it..” “Did you change your address?” “No. If I got the renewal notice- seems like I would get the renewal. Did you change my address?” She read it off- same one since 1940’s.

“Well.. What do we do now?” “I will have to let a supervisor call you.” Three days later- she did. She was to send out another copy.

Called this morning as I still have not gotten the first step to the two I need to take before the first of the year. Now no one knows what I am talking about and the supervisor has to call me back as they, god forbid, know nothing. “Can’t you just fax me a copy of the form?” “Oh no- we can’t do faxes. Why we ask people to mail the renewal in early.” “I did. You are not sending me the form.” “The supervisor will get back with you.”

I swear…. Standing behind a counter asking people if they want fries with the burger is sounding more and more fun. Is it so fucking complicated to put a form in a envelope, type a address and stamp it?

Right now I have the reminder of the Martha Steward Halloween show on Hallmark at 8:00 pm on Monday.

Lifetime ABC Killer movie on Lifetime tonight.

Just removed a rub I found to use on the London Broil last night, and grocery list.

Oh- and I have issues with my heater at home. Yes it is the same unit that would not cool at the start of the summer, now it just blows cold air. Last two nights- no heat.

I cussed out the repair service. Yes I did. Take a lot for the bitch in me to come out but... this is one of them.

Let's hope I get heat when I go home, and a hot shower. To cold to shower in the morning with it being 52 in the house.

And the heater was fixed before 10:30 this morning, with one repair man not able to do it, he called in his boss to ask a few questions. Funny thing is his boss use to be the only repair man the company had at one time, and well known to our family. He is also the only one who could get the unit to cool this summer by putting in a bigger blower.

Care to guess who fixed it? Yeap- Josh. "I wish you would stop tearing up this unit.." He joked. "Oh.. kiss my big toe." Poor repair man about fainted. Josh just winked at me, and got my unit fixed. We talked of old times, and how much the company had grown and how he was over all the repair men now. He has come a long way, but still not afraid to get his hands dirty.

:) Yeah to heat, a hot shower, and cooking dinner tonight.

Lady answers the phone to the business we buy replacement windows in. I had called them twice last week to come and replace two windows, or one big bay window that has three sections, in a rental house I rented last month. I had promised to get them replaced as the wind was coming in, original window to the house built in the 70’s. 12 windows in total, and I am half way thru them. The guy who does the pricing, measuring is hard to get hold of so… I get a little creative after a while of him not returning my calls.

“Yes- is Guy there?” No shit- that is his name.

“No. Can I take a message?”

“You did- last week. I know he is sitting there in his chair, out of this cold rainy day so tell him to answer the damn phone.”

“Who is this?”

“Just tell the dude to get on the phone.”

She covers the phone, but I can hear “Some rude bitch is on the phone- wanting to talk to you.”

“Who is it?”

Uncovering the phone she ask again who it is. So I tell her. She covers back up and says “The bitch said she is…”

“Hell- that isn’t a bitch, that is just the way she is. Give me the phone.”

I laugh, and he ask me “You starting trouble again. Last time you did this you was with child and my freaking wife answered it.”

“Well hell- return calls and I don’t have to be mean to these people. Can’t you train them better?”

“Shit- how are your work hands? If they can scratch their ass and walk they are better then mine. Did you call before?”

“Twice. And that is not helping your business if you can’t get messages.”

“Tell me about it. So- what do you need from me today?”

He is to come out in the morning, and he wants me to bring donuts. Like as if..

Just watched the new Britney Spears Criminal video. First, I had to redo my password for YouTube as the poster called it an adult video. Really? Why?

Then you have the product placement that seems to be all videos are about today- car, watch.

And to end it- it is shown as a movie. With title, video written by, list of all the people, crew in the video.

To bad the damn song sucks, and the video is right along with the song.

I really wish she would do something new, something more then the hands in hair, stripper moves in her video. At least this one had a older man in it as the lead.

I have a question for those from UK, and where the goverment runs the health care. I been watching Doc Martin on BBC. Seems anyone who comes into his office gets testing, scans, etc. I know that the goverment pays for these as no one, even the poorest, fight him about the cost.

So- is that how it is in real life?

I don't know about the UK but here in Canada, if the Dr. deems the tests as needed- there is no cost.

And thank goodness for that, or Garry would not have been able to get any treatment. As it was he was angry that his financial problems were solved by his going on disability as he always felt he should be able to work to get ahead.

That stated, some of his medications did cost him a bit more, and there were treatments he wanted but could not have because the funding for them did not come through until he died. Then there is the several months it takes to get on the government programs- and well. It was still a big financial hit to his family- not even considering the hotel and travel costs to where he was.

There are better programs out there, make no mistake- but you will not find a program without it's faults. So it is best to learn the system before you truly need it.

Yeah ... tis true ... If your Doc says you need a test or scan etc ... you have it asap and free.

A man called to ask about pricing. I called him back but his wife answered as he was out mowing. After talking a little bit she asked for information on the company. “We are a family owned..blah blah.. Sales pitch..blah” “I only have one more question for you. Is your family christens?” *rolls eyes* Yes- I still live in that kind of town. “I was raised a Baptist.” Which is not a lie. “Well that doesn’t matter, we all will end in front of the Lord no matter which way we get there.”

OOOoooookkkk then. Moving on…

Going back to the books I am trying to update, taking calls as they come in, when I get one from a man who said the transportation office gave him our number. I know this is a military member. “Sir, how can I help you today?” Seems Mr. XXX is hunting his shipment down, as it is late. “The name is not ringing any bells for me. Can you give me some more information?” “I have the bill of lading number.” That lead no where- but then our system in not linked to anyone else’s, so… “What agent picked up your shipment?” He gives me a name. “Sorry- but I have never heard of that company.” “And you work for them?!” “It is the new system the government is using- anyone can work for anyone. Anyone with a truck can move you now, the day of controlling who gets it is gone. Let’s try it this way…” Telling myself to not rant on the new system, try and help this man, he has the ability to score you and cost you jobs.

“Where did they pick you up at?” “Good lord. We came from Missouri.” Ok- he is getting mad now, can hear it in his voice. “And you are delivering into where?” He tells me a base, I have no clue where that was. “Sorry Sir, and I am trying to help you but that base is where?” “It is in Alaska.” Ok…. “You do know I am in Kentucky, right?” “No I did not. Why the hell would the base give me your number? You have nothing to do with my shipment, do you?” “No Sir, I don’t.” “Thanks anyway.” Hangs up.

Oh you are most welcome. Please take your rage out on the DOD website, letting them know just how freaking great there new system is.

*two thumbs up*

Been a long weekend for me. While still trying to get over my cough, had some fun at the event this weekend. Sitting here downloading the photos before I hand over the memory cards to Birdy at some point in time.

Happy with most of them but the barn dance. Florecent lights *I know I know- spelled wrong. :P* and the action of the dancers... photos sucked. The faces came out fine but the dresses, at the feet area where the movements- total blur. I had the shuttle speed up... I am not getting the hang of actions shots at all it seems.

Anyway- when these get done I am going to bed to read a book, and sleep early. Sat was 6:15 till 10:00 pm, and today was 9:20 something till after 3:30pm. Then home to do food, dishes, and five loads of laundry. I am ready to rest, and sleep. Sure Birdy is more then ready for a soft bed too.

Forget the whole "Takes a village to raise a child" Hell- these folks run a event every year that just keeps getting bigger and bigger. And with only a dozen of people who are willing to help. Proud of them tho- they always pull it off. :)

Now bed for me.

Was going to go out to the event, but did not get all my stuff done till 5:00, it is a half a hour trip out there, and only thing going on is them sitting up tents, horses settled in.

So instead it is a early morning for me on Sat. To be foggy, be nice to get some shots of the camp with fog around the tents, in the hills. Hope they don't leave out coolers, folding camping chairs, etc. They might shot me if they think I am stealing stuff instead of just moving it to take a photo. ;)

Alarm clock is set at 6:15am. On a Saturday.

ADT man, new to me, has been here for over three hours. Why? I am wondering the same thing. "Is anything wrong?" "Oh no.. just checking the system."

Another hour... "Is the system ok? I mean.. the other guy is usually 30 mins at the most." I say, getting him off his cell phone. "Oh no. I am justing running some back up testing." "Oookk."

He is still here, talking on his phone, sitting in the office where the panel is, or back in the warehouse.

*if I disappear, please know he was the last one to see me*

If he comes in here and tells me he needs for me to go outside to the warehouse...

Hahaha...

What can I say- it is a rainy day, and I am in a creepy mood.

Ghost cost extra...

Well that was a first for me. The couple we rented the house to has a child about 5 and one on the way. Reason they are moving out of an apartment into a 3 bedroom home we have. Nice couple, good jobs, really sweet child = so I rented it to them.

I meet with the man yesterday to do the lease, walk thru the house to list damage, hand over the keys as he wanted to start moving in this weekend. And it seems I am over booked as it is this weekend, having to work Sunday on billing if all goes as planned with my sister, as my other sister come to stay with Mom.

Mom has been ill these last two weeks, throwing up, dizzy. Kidney infection, meds tearing her tummy up, weak as she has not felt like eating. But the deadline to get these bills in is this month. So.. We work Sunday. Birdy’s Camp Wild cat thing is this weekend, the Civil War reenactment. Forgot the damn thing until she called last night. Oh well… me taking photos or getting bills in for work I already paid out on, cash in hand… yeap, billing will be done Sunday. Just how it is.

So back to the man I rented the house to-= this house we have owned since the early 80’s. Wood floors, old details, old kitchen cabinets, really a cute home. They loved it when they did the walk thru on the weekends I worked showing it most of the day Sat/Sundays. Took us three weekends but I liked them and they checked out on credit/ income/ the lady they rent from now said they paid on time, no problems out of them.

So I spent half a hour with him yesterday doing the lease, answer questions. I left him in the house with the two keys, and off I went on my merry way. This morning I made copies of his lease, and called his work to leave a message I was going to drop it off in the mailbox at the house. He calls me back, and said he had a few more questions. “On the middle bedroom floor, the hardwood, was the burnt footprint there before?”

Yes- it was there when we purchased the home. The home was owned by a man who used to drive a taxi for my Dad some years ago. He died, the son after the funeral asked Dad if he wanted to buy the house. He lived out of the state, across the country in fact, and did not want to deal with trying to sell it with a realtor. Dad asked how much, they talked, agreed to a price and he wrote him a check for it on the same day. Of course it was cold as hell, but the bank cleared it till we got up there to make the loan. Small town, they knew he had the money.

The footprint was there- it is a soul of a shoe, burnt in to the wood. “And the other foot- the bare foot. You can see the toes.” Ok- I don’t remember that one but I said yes, it was there. Seems they did not see it during the walk thru and just notice it last night. I joked and said “Yeah- kind of spooky but they where there when we got the house.” He then ask me if anyone had died in the house. I don’t remember if the man had or not but I said no. I have one house where someone died, but I was not going to say this one did. “Has anyone said anything about the house being haunted?” “Nooo.. Why would you ask that?” “No one has to die in the house for it to be haunted.” “Ok.” “I left a voice recorder running today, to see if anything come in.”

Ok- that is when I start to think… the dude is a little nuts. “Hoping for a EVP are you?” “You know about that?” “Yes- I watch a few ghost shows. But I am telling you nothing is in that house. I have been alone in it more times then I can count- cleaning, painting, showing it. I have never seen anything, and no one who has rented it ever said anything to me.” “I don’t know- when we went in yesterday my daughter went into the carpet bedroom, and she was in there talking like she always is and ran back out to the living room to us and asked who the girl is in her room.” “Really?” “Yes. We went in there and looked, no one was there.” “You do know there is a large window in the room- she might of just seen her reflection.”

“Oh she wasn’t afraid or anything. My wife kind of freaked out, then we found those footprints and it just really got us going.”

Great… they will run screaming out of the house one night, saying it is haunted. And break the year lease. Can you claim a haunting to break a lease? Hmm

“Sure it is nothing, once you move in it will feel like a home. But if you find something, give me a call.” *laugh here* He joins in and said it would be cool if he did, and he would.

So it seems I am going to type a few sentences that mean nothing to anyone. Why? Because I need to just fill up the little snippet of the journal online… so people who don’t know me will not come in and read this.

There… now it is just us.

Several months ago my Uncle, Dad’s brother, ‘reported’ to of hit my Aunt so hard in the face he broke her jaw. No he is losing his mind a little, the family dealing with taking his truck keys away as he would just drive off, get lost. So I know it is hard on the family, and he always had a problem with his anger.

See- I can remember a few times Dad did too. I only seen him hit my mother once, and she picked up a cast iron pan and chased his ass out of the house. Mom is a strong woman, and Dad would be the first one to tell you that is what he needed, someone to stand up to him. They would fight, you don’t raise 5 kids and run a business together and not have words. But usually they would scream at each other, and he would leave, stay gone a few hours before he would return to a cold shoulder from Mom for a few days. Or go out on the road, where it would let them both calm down.

I say this because I would never want you, dear reader, or me myself to think Dad was perfect. He had flaws. Mom has flaws, we all do. I just know Dad loved my Mother, and he always loved his kids. He was a man who you could depend on, who would help anyone. Not perfect, but human. And a damn fine man, father.

So I took the news of my Uncle hitting my Aunt in a fit of anger, upset about losing his mind, which he knows is happening. I don’t think any charges were pressed, due to his state of mind. We never called to check on her as.. well.. we really wasn’t raised around Dad’s family as he ‘grew up’ living with his Aunt, who was not married and had a large farm to run. Dad would say he was ‘given’ to her, and he was grateful for that. She helped them buy their first piece of land, and left the farm to my Dad. I took it that is what he meant, and not that it wasn’t.

Anyway…what I have been thinking over all weekend is this. Friday last my sister told me the same Uncle’s grandson, who is grown man with a wife and child, good job in the state court system, was arrested for domestic violence. Seems he beat his wife up pretty badly.

Makes me think- how much my mother is different then these women. She is hot headed, not afraid to stand up for herself and known to show her anger. And how my own inner rage is right at the surface, how I can just picture myself slapping those who get on my nerves. Tree, apple, fall far from?

Makes me grateful Dad’s Aunt raised him, and that he found my Mother who stood up to him. He learned to tame his anger, as I am sure she herself did to a degree. As I have, older I am getting better I seem, to be able to do it. Just wanted to type this out, get what has been on my mind the last 4 days out in the open.

That is sad. It seems like it's a learned behavior.

What I don't understand, and this might not happen in this situation, but I don't understand how a woman can constantly get beat or hit and then try to say "I stay because I love him." Or even they say "He promised me he would stop". That excuse gets old after multiple occasions.

I just never understood it. Maybe that's a learned behavior as well.

Vampirewitch39
Vampirewitch39
23:32 Oct 04 2011

Yeah- it just makes you think. I mean... I was not around my Uncle as a child. Or my cousins, that side of the family but for one Uncle. He was a truck driver so Dad and him spent a lot of time in the garage here at home, working on their trucks.

This Uncle was/is a farmer on his family farm. *Dad's family farm, but he did not see it that way*

It makes you think.... and the ladies who put up with it. Mom would not put up with abuse. Like I said I only remember the one time, and the after actions was all of us just stun. It was so unlike him to raise a hand to us, he did not like to even spank us.

But it makes you wonder what kind of life he would of had, we would of had, if Mom was not the strong woman she was.

when you learn to control part of yourself gradually, and continualy, its like walking, at first you stumble, you fall, you fail then eventually you walk without even looking, without even thinking, you can still fall, but you become a master at walking eventually, you just keep in mind that you can always fall and watch where you are going. It is the same with anger, you learn to control it, at first its harder then you become a master of controling it, but you always keep in mind its there, right there, not far and always lurking, as long as you remember to watch, then you can stay master of it.

Falling is human, staying down is retard, getting up is divine. (french quote)

I have been one of those women. I didn't come from an abusive house. My father never hit my mother, although he did have problems controlling his temper. From my experience, it was due to my having a low self esteem. This is the key statement: I didn't think I was worthy of being treated any better than I was. I was more comfortable in the situation, then heading out into the unknown, alone.

To say the least, I finally found my backbone and left him. I had to deal with harassment, stalking and plenty of frightening times, but I learned that I'm allowed to demand to be treated better. Some women, don't realize, that this isn't the norm. They don't realize that everyone doesn't get beat when they go home. Key is to boost their self esteem to make them realize, they deserve better.

Each sitution is unique to the Woman experiencing domestic violence. There are usually multiple factors that come along with the decision to leave him so it is not as simple as getting up and walking away. Many do and many return.

Over 50% of the women who end up leaving their husbands end up killed or injured devastatingly.

There is a cycle to abuse, it starts off small, and is gradual. By the time the Woman manages to leave for the first time, iving with and managning the abuse within the relationship has become second nature for her and the abuser.

Lastly, asking the person experiencing the abuse, 'Why doesnt she just leave?" Automatically puts the blame on her, instead of the abuser.

It takes a lot to build up a person's feeling of self-worth and safety when they have experienced consistent trauma like this, so leaving a world which may be completely new to them (a lot of times the person is isolated from the world and all they have is the house/ money that is provided to them by their abuser). imagine stepping out of your front door for the first time with no where to go and no one to go to?

Scary.

I don't see my Aunt leaving him, because they have such a long history and with him being ill. I mean- she stayed for a reason, right?

I just hope the grandson gets help, the wife gets help. I don't know what will happen with his family, but I take it his job might make him take some kind of treatment if he wishes to stay. At least I hope they do.

I feel for any woman who is abused, and would help one in a heart beat if I could, to help them leave that anger behind.

Thanks for the comments. :)

Looking at the avatar Otter made... I really love that shade of red. Red, brown, a touch of black... might do a makeup look around these colors.

But not tonight.

I sit, wait, housework done with the last load of laundry in. Last showing of the house for the day in 20 minutes. Then cooking dinner when I get back.

One couple looked at it and she nick picked it...

"The eat in kitchen is not big enough for my dining room table."

"The closets are small."

"The bathroom needs redone- why in the world would someone keep a cast iron tub?"

"Well... at least the living room is large, only plus the house has."

"The molding, trim work needs painted. To much wood."

I got a little peeved... asked her why they was moving. Seem they are losing the house they own, due to not being able to make the payments.

"I mean.. this house is not even half what we pay in payments. But then it is half the house."

I smiled and said in a tone only a true southern woman can do...

"Yes, but this one was paid for two years after we purchased it back in 1982. Unlike yours." The word bitch was silent, but there.

She left without filing out a application.

Ahhh... damn.

Ok- got to go.

Seems I want to write a little, let some things go from this week.

Monday we went to start our bigger office move of the week, taking 4 of the 5 days. In a very nice office building and my contact was a lovely lady. I love these women, the dress clothing, the little click click of those heels on the marble floor as they walk about. She was so busy, and acted like we was a little of a bother, asking a few questions here and there. Rained all day on us… all freaking day. At the end of the day I asked her to check the suites, making sure we loaded the items we were to relocate to the small town in the eastern hills of the state. She stands there with that creased cut dress pants, blouse with a wide belt, heels, and I said it… “If you need our services again just give us a howler.” She just turned away, but I know she was rolling her eyes.

I lowed my head, so country sounding. “Sorry- sometimes my country slide out to much. My mother’s training was so much better. Let me try that again… If our company can be of future service to you or the company you represent, please do not hesitate to call upon me. My card.” And I gave her my card. *shrugs* She was not impressed but I as I had a cold, wet, and just wanted to cough for the thousand time, I did not care.

Funny as the ‘fancy, slightly used desk/ office equipment’ was going to replace some that was old, broken down, dirty and well worn by country folks. When I say country folks I mean they joke, they laugh, they wear jeans and the lady I dealt with wore glitter eyeshadow in her 30’s. lol Just some good old folks who was fun to spend the next three days with, even if combining 3 office locations into one office with the ‘new’ furniture being thrown into the mix, was a head ache of moving items several times- it was still a great job. Long hours, lots of driving time, not rushed or stood over by the customers, no claims. Just a good move.

Then another office move today that went well. Well known man in town, hope that helps to counter act some bad rep on a few moves of late. Small towns- word of mouth means a hell of a lot in them.

Sis told me something today after I got their shopping done and I am still trying to come to terms with it. It is about my Dad’s blood family. Not yet ready to talk about that tho…

Showing the rental house we have empty again this weekend. So few trips to town for me, between housework as I did not do any last week. I have to wash my sheets, dust, vac as that will help my breathing.

Really want to take some Fall/ Halloween photos this year. Just trying to figure out of what, maybe decorations in town? I don’t have anything outside myself; pumpkins around here are 6 or 8 dollars. Mums twice that so… none of me. Town has some things out, might take photos of them. People finding me in their yards might not go over well. Lol

Speaking of Halloween- in our local town library Monday night is a speaker about paranormal hunting. She is a lady Birdy took her class about ghost hunting. I might see if Cat or Birdy would want to go with me to it. I have been thinking about joining a paranormal group here in town, if I can find one, and they seem not to strange.

Yes- I said that. :P

Wow- I can’t stop yawning. I wanted to stay up tonight, catch up on VR stuff, but I am so close to sleep just writing this out. My body is odd in the way If I fight sleep it makes me pay for it. “You don’t want to sleep now? You are going to fight me? Fine… see what happens when you try to sleep later. I will wake you wide eyed, and you will get no sleep. You sleep when I tell you … or not at all.” I can just tell that is the warning I am getting.

So I think I will say goodnight. Sure I will be on early early in the morning going to bed at 8:00pm. Sure it is because of the times at work this week- I will be awake at 5:30 am, I just know it. Lol

Take care of yourself. As for Halloween photos, how about taking pictures of the little ghosts and goblins around town.

I so wish I could go with you to the paranormal group. Haven't found one around us, just lots of bigfoot ones. :)

Take care of yourself and try to get some rest. Tea, honey and sleep. It works. *hugs*

Sounds like you are as busy as ever. Pooh on that uppity wench, I bet her life has zero fun in it. Knowing you you will find something seasonal to take pictures of and they will be awesome :) The paranormal group sounds fun, wish we had one here but we are going on a local Ghost tour this month that should be interesting.
