Good day... good day. State job is done.

That was till I called the man in charge to inform him of this and was reminded the job also included moving said job back into the home/ garage once moving of said home and rebuilding of garage was finished.

"Oh no... are you sure that was in the bid? I don't think.."

I looked- It was.

Grrrrr....

But hell's bells- that is another day.

Today- the fucker is done!

*Dances, sings along with the radio*

Came on just to check the forum/ profiles/ etc in the Admin side, knowing I need to spend more time helping on the site.

For fun I spent my honor and clicked to give it to Cancer and see how the negative honor has changed- big time since I last looked at it.

Not that I am shocked on the person who has more then one profile on it, really.... not shocked at all.

But so missed what got the 'crap' stir up again.

Then I stop and asked myself... "Do you really care?"

Nah.

:)

Same old same old with a lot of members here.

Now to bed for me, a good book for about half a hour, then sleep.

Night all.

I have a new love. Yes sir, time for another product placement in my journal. Think of it like a Lady Gaga or Miley Cyrus music video. Of course, that makes me wonder how they would use the product and what sex act…. Ewww. Ok ok- that got off track, so let’s bring it back to the point.

*cough cough*

I have a new love. It started off when my sister purchased an Irobot Roomba vacuum cleaner. Now- before you roll those eyes- lets just talk a little about this wonder tool. My sisters *twins* are taking care of Mom, which is a 24/7 job. They both are limited on walking due to health issues, so to ask them to run a vacuum is out of the question in a 4 bedroom home. And my brother, while he helps as much as he is able to, he is just not a cleaning person. So it was a fight to get any of the vacuum done with me doing most of the work for two business. So she made the purchase of the cheapest one they had and within a few days, I came up to Mom’s home to see a box waiting. “What is that?” “Oh.. well…” See- the cheapest is just under $300.00.

I know, I know… my eyes went big too. “I wanted to see if it would work or not.” I understood- the dog in the home, the vacuum run maybe once every two weeks, if it worked it would be worth it. As I pulled the round shaped thing out of the box, I had my doubts. But I have to say it did have some weight. I think it came in at 8 lbs, so I could see is not being any heavier then the ‘light weight’ one we use now.

So we charged her up, read the directions, and pushed that little green button in the center to turn her on once we put her on the floor. She beeped. *yes, it is a girl, don’t ask* A second push of the button and she made a sound like a “CHARGE!” and off she went. She moved right along, hitting the edges of the walls, cleaning right up to the baseboards. She cross the room in a pattern and she picked up all kinds of things. As in phone cords, wires, paper clips, and when she went under my mother’s bed- Kleenex. Enough that the first time we ran her it was a pain in the butt as she stops, beeps, and waits for the human to come unclog her. Which is good as it keeps the motor from burning up.

But we all agree what she did as far as cleaning was great. I know what you are thinking- but really- this thing rocks. So I started to do some research online and found out you really had to ‘roomba-fine’ your room when you use them. Meaning you take the wires and move them off the floor, you pick up Kleenex, socks, paperclips, etc.

In my home- it means I pick up the small trash can, toilet bowl cleaner brush holder and sweep that 2 foot space so the dirt is in the middle of the room so she can get it. Bedroom- means I make sure my blanket isn’t dragging the floor, or the bed skirt isn’t hanging too low so it doesn’t get caught up. Kitchen- I turn my kitchen table chairs up and sit them on the table so she doesn’t spent an hour in the ping pong game the legs make for her. And I do ‘lock’ her into a area with doors, or the little ‘wall’ that comes with her. She does better if you limit her space, then let her move onto another area. I don’t like to just let her run all over the house, she does seem to miss a few spots I think.

Just little things like that helps her out, and I don’t have to push a vacuum around, and truth told, she is better then me at it. I live in a single wide trailer. My bedroom isn’t huge- and she runs for 20 minutes, that is with me leaving her alone and she runs a whole ‘run time’ for the size of the room. Meaning she repeats her cleaning route 4 to 5 times. Tell me- how many times do you hit the same spot when you run your big vacuum? Me? Once. I hate to vacuum.

I said she does a better job then me and am not afraid to say it. She goes under the bed, under the dresser, nightstand. She runs in my closet, she does the rugs in my bathroom. If the items is 3 inches or so tall- she goes under it. In an hour I can do my whole home, one charge.

“But can’t you just do that with a normal vacuum? Lot less time?” Sure. I could. But I don’t like to and sometimes just don’t want to. House work, without a pet, is vacuum, dust, clean tub, toilets, kitchen dishes, sweep the floors in the kitchen. While the machine is running I can clean my tub, cleaner to the toilets. I can do my dishes. I am done when she is done.

But more then that- I don’t dust as much. She doesn’t ‘leak’ out so the dust in my home is a lot less. Instead of dusting every week, I can go two weeks without seeing any difference. And anyone with a allergy, or breathing issues like me – they tell you to vacuum 2 or 3 times a week. Now, I just watch TV as that happens. Before I was hard pressed to do it once a week, now that I have it ‘done’ for me those 3… even 4 times a week. See what I mean about the dust?

And without a pet, she still finds dirt. I am shocked at how much she picks up at Mom’s home, but with the dog hair, not really. But she still fills her little bin even in my house, running 3 or 4 times a week, mind you. She is a wonder. They warn the machine is not a replacement for the big full size machine, which you should run at least once a week. And I still do- but it doesn’t even pick up a 3rd of dirt it use to in its bin when I was running it once a week.

So- if you know someone who hates to vacuum, or is unable to *elder, handicap* for whatever reason- really, look into this machine. If you have a pet- really look into it. Dusting is less, the air in your home is cleaner, and it is just a wonderful machine. And as it makes my sisters keep the floor picked up more so- it really is a god send. Now they keep the socks up, pick up towels, and it seems to keep all of us more aware of putting things up, away, instead of just putting them beside the chair, or on the floor. Yeah for making up pick up more! :D

Just had to share it.

Now if only I had the other robot machine to wash my dishes, you know... a dish washer. lol

14 hour move today. 8 of it was driving, which I had to fill in for the driver as his girlfriend had his first child today.

Longest day of the year for us.

:)

My knee is killing me, but the job went off without a hitch.

Now- another cold beer, having drunk one in the cold shower, then bed.
