I don't like reading unless I am laying down. Strange, I know, but I don't like even sitting at a desk to read. I mean, I can sit in a recliner, put my legs up... Nah- laying down is the way for me to read.

Had a lovely Sunday. :) Slept in a little, woke up and read a book for two hours. Love a lazy morning when I can just lay in bed, not required to hit the floor running for work, etc.



Then a small brunch. Found out I have no internet and a phone call later lead me to believe I would not have any for a while since a outage in our area. Funny that as my sister, who lives two houses down, has internet. We have the same provider. Oh well...



Visit from Cat who stop by with my keys I left in her van.



Visit from Birdy and her talk of her upcoming birthday party she is throwing.



Did the dishes, load of laundry.



And nice enough weather I cooked outside on the grill. Had a nice grilled beef roast, fried tatter, and a nice big salad. :)



And Paula Dean 5 layer bars, cooked easy in a pre-make G/C crust. Mmmm.. that stuff is the bomb. Birdy made it years ago and called it "Better the sex" pie. It is damn close, I tell ya. But it is the Paula Dean bars, just made in a pre-made crust.



Also got myself some beer as I want to try a beer chicken on the grill when the weather gets warm again.



Yes, you read that right. This up coming week is going to drop back to the 30's during the day. :D Sorry but I love cold weather so... going to enjoy it.

Now to bed to read some, watch Downton Abbey, and read some more. :)



All in all a really great Sunday.

Wonder who this new military guy is? What that deal is going to be? You would think after the Governor they would stay away from a 'camp' type deal.



Every time I end a show, can't wait till the next. Not many shows like that on TV these days, shows just how well it is done.

For the first time this winter I had to cancel a move. :( While the weather has been bad here, cold more then anything, it kind of worked out so jobs got done.



But today it bite us- the job went into a area with hills, curves, country road that will never see a grader or salt truck.



So... broke my heart as first job in over a week, and the one or two jobs a week just ain't paying my business bills, or my workers bills.



Sucks.



One hand I love the snow, another hate we all lose money due to not being able to take the chance of driving in it with lives, cargo.



Oh- and to be in the 60's on Monday.



But looking on the bright side- we could be in NC, in the cold with no power. So...



Silver lining is looking good about now.

It sure does suck being at the mercy of mother nature to pay the bills. I can understand it from the perspective of farmers (many of those on my Dad's side of the family).

So Kentucky is the place corvettes are made. Even has a National Corvette Museum. Driven by it a thousand times in my life, never stop to see it. They always had a nice shinney new one out on a show ramp kind of thing, and on a good sunny day you might see a older one on show.



Just read a sink hole has open up in the museum, and several cars was lost. Per AOL---



The museum said the cars are a 1993 ZR-1 Spyder and 2009 ZR1 "Blue Devil" on loan from General Motors; a 1962 Black Corvette; 1984 PPG Pace Car; 1992 White 1 Millionth Corvette; 1993 Ruby Red 40th Anniversary Corvette; 2001 Mallett Hammer Z06 Corvette and a 2009 White 1.5 Millionth Corvette.

Shame to see such works of art gone.



No one was harmed when the sinkhole opened.

I seen that. I was thinking to myself 'If you are going to lie about something, at least make sure it's believable.' It has to get boring getting the same kind of attention all the time. Then trying to form some new kind of reason to get attention again.

Cold today, with a little snow on the ground. I went out at lunch to get my brother his Birthday lunch which was hotdog and milkshake. :) He isn't hard to please, really.





Watched The Walking Dead online before work. Last night was good, can't wait to see what happen to the rest of the group. Have to say I kind of expected Carol to show up last night, saving Carl's life even. Be a good way to get back into the group.



I did like the background story of Michonne's past life before the world went to hell. That she was a mother. And who the two walkers she had with her when we as viewers meet her.



So I take it that her baby's father killed the child, right?

Big Bang- About Freaking TIME! :D He step right up to that kiss. Poor Amy was ready to turn into a puddle.

See- I don't think it will. It is getting boring watching the dead end that is Sheldon. The events leading up to sex, more kissing, flirting, Amy doing a make over to try and get the juices flowing on Sheldon.



If they leave the show on the other dead, not moving forward story lines.. it will die.



How many times can we watch Penny get drunk, and Leonard break up and get back together. The marriage talk seems to be off between them. That story line has been dead for years now.



Howard and his wife- baby is the only thing you can do to that story line. Really- what is the point if they don't move the show along?



And Raj- how long is the 'I can't get a woman" going to be funny? Answer- it stop being about a year ago.



I love the show, don't get me wrong, but the relationships need to move forward.



Besides- Amy has put up with Sheldon for years now, she needs the relations ship to advance. When she played the shot to the head, I was with her. I mean, why would she stay with a man who can't love her, show her any intrest?



Well.. he did at the end.



I hope they build on this story line of Amy and Sheldon becoming closer because if not- the show is boring. Nothing else/ story line is going anyplace.



Raj might get with the vet, but...



They need to throw some action in on Amy and Sheldon. :D



And yes, I know he is gay. More power to him being one of the sexiest males on TV.

I'm thinking somewhere down the line Penny is going to make it as an actress, and then it will be "will she stay or will she go". I thought that kiss was the most amazing I had seen in a while, and it made ME melt too. As far as they are concerned, look how long it took them to get to that kiss....it'll be another 3 or 4 seasons before sex is even an option.

Right Puppy- not like they are going to hit the bed right away. I mean, I have hung on for 4 years since Amy has been on the show, I will hang in 4 more to see what happens. But it does need to move forward.. maybe a few more kisses this season, maybe in a few years some touching.. like the slap on her butt, but not because he is drunk this time.



And when it happesn, and it better *note the 8 years of me watching* there better be some Marvin Gaye playing. lol

It is cold out, dropping into the mid 20's as snow spits out, ice mix really. Meeting with the Dept of Transportation for a bid on a move, me and another moving company. Meet time is 4:00pm. I arrive 15 minutes early, sat in my car. When the State man showed, right on time, we go into the home as the other mover was going to be a little late as she was coming from a town 100 miles away.



Note- north of me. So they had snow, ice. Think you would plan for the slower drive as she was over 45 minutes late. O.o



But anyway.....



We didn't wait. I got the tour of the home, and the 'old store' in front of it. We walked back toward the three out buildings when the other mover pulled up. She is in a skirt, high heel boots, a thin coat. O,o



Me? Jeans, work boots, two sweaters, coat, and a hat. Had glove on one hand, the other free to use the pin as I made my notes.



We went into one storage building and she said walking back out "Can we go warm up in the home? It is so cold out here." Really? It is known as coming ready for the cold. You came from weather that was way more snow/ ice then us in the south part... maybe dress for the weather?



Reason I never could be a good salesman. People like her just makes me want to say something shitty. So I got to go back into the house, undress, peeling off all the extra clothing I added on so 'the cute' salesman can get warm.



*sigh*



And I had hat hair. lol
