I've never really played Vampire the Masquerade... Not until I started playing that pvp game Bloodhunt that everyone hates. But a good portion of the "real vampire community" at least in the North East USA tend to attach themselves to V:tM lore for a myriad of reasons. As I get older, I come to understand some of the mechanics of the game and I've come to appreciate everyone's chaos magick-esque way of adorning themselves with the fictional "folklore" of the game and bringing it into their real world to enhance their lives. Some people identify with the various clans like astrology... or the way young white girls attach themselves to Hogwarts Houses. 😂
So for those who understand V:tM speak... I am probably the closest thing to a real life Brujah you'll find in the wild. For better and for worse.
The Brujah clan represent one of the oldest and most recognizable vampire archetypes: that of the eternal rebel. Brujah vampires identify fiercely with a personal cause, and cannot resist picking fights for the sake of this conviction. Brujah was a callous and fiercely logical creature. Dispassionate in the extreme. All that a Brujah does, he does with passion that is both his curse as well as his blessing. Brujah adopt passions and causes, which they support with volume and vitriol. Some Brujah follow charismatic members of their clan, while others prefer stances of blatant, defiant individualism. Many Brujah are glad to have an opportunity to speak their minds, then indulge in a bit of destruction afterward to illustrate their points.
During the Dark Ages, the Brujah were considered part of the High Clans, a clan of warrior-scholars noted for their fierce devotion to radical philosophies. The Brujah viewed themselves as the practitioners of a Greek philosophy of total mental and physical discipline (commonly called entelechy), and would often train their neonates in combat and the classics with equal discipline. Brujah of the Dark Ages were associated primarily with politics, especially in Greece. Their historical association with Carthage gave them a dim view of Rome and her heirs
I am short tempered and I will speak my mind. My blunt realness can feel like an attack on the receiving end and the more entitled you are the more wrongly it will rub you. But it's not, it's just how I am. I don't beat around the bush and I don't have niceties coded into my brain. I have no intention of falling in line. I have no intention of holding my tongue and not asking questions. I'm not going to listen to nor follow people blindly. Nor am I going to play follow the leader with strangers. It's just not in my nature to submit to anyone and I sure tf am not submitting to anyone here. If your expectations include such things, we're not going to get along.
I'm otherwise not an unreasonable person. Approach me with courtesy. Keep me out of your drama that has nothing to do with me and don't put words in my mouth. These are not difficult nor unreasonable requests. Treat me the way you'd want to be treated and I will respond in turn. If you have some sort of weird superiority complex because you've existed on this site for a long time, I assure you, I don't give a shit 😊
Fuck around and find out, as they say.
Greetings Lovely! I figured I'd take a moment to properly introduce myself here in my journal.
