Although I don't think my career path will be a bartender any time soon, I had the pleasure of speaking with one. I had what I believe was a few shots, neat of real absinthe. Or at least whatever is acceptable by American standards.
It wasn't the first time I've tried it. I have had a few shots done the proper way on a sugar cube. My opinion: it's yummy and pleasant, but it didn't really do much of anything. At least not the way it's been romanticized.
Of course as all alcohol does to me, it made me feel relaxed.
I love learning about stuff, but my life has been too busy lately. Maybe another time? Or maybe never.
Starting a whole other job next week.
Going to a meeting this weekend for the final discussion about what I'm doing for my art event next month. I hope it's a huge success.
