First day at work yesterday was fantastic. I got to see a wedding, which I'm sure I'll be seeing more often. Wonder what other events are in store for me? Besides the cool concerts.

Here's a debate for the ages. And the only reason I thought of this view is because I actually listened to someone's opinion instead of shouting, WRONG.
So as Notre Dame burned, a lot of art and religious items were rescued. Don't get me wrong, it is a disaster that occurred, but here's some food for thought...
Art has been something the rich and higher religious people have kept before we had public museums. And although some art, famous art at that has been protected in war and mother nature, I don't think the art we adore, love and worship is worth anything to the billionaires and secret higher up religious people. Just imagine what art and artifacts they have that we'll never see.
This can be a conspiracy since I'll never have any proof.

Never been. Can't catch the free day. As much as I love the Met, which I have been to, I am very disappointed that last year they started charging people. That's the exact opposite of what a good museum should do. Knowing that artists are usually poor. N.Y. state did say New Yorkers are still free, however our taxes and donations from others, events, etc, pay for enough.

I think you're right. Throughout the ages there have been people in religious power positions who removed or censored art because of their own biases. We know this as a fact, so the idea that some art has been kept away from people entirely is not far fetched, in my opinion.
