Wisconsin Dells, Camping for the first time. Wow that was an adventure. Lake Delton is empty from natural disaster, leaving my family and i to climb the whole remaining land of the lake. Never have i seen anything like it. It was truly like a warzone.
Also, i went and visited my Grandpa's grave, as well as my great grandparents. But throughout the whole cemetary, i felt no prescences, which bothered me because i always can sense them. Wonder why this one was different.
And, most devastating, i lost an aunt. She acted very, umm obnoxious, and out of hand leaving my family to disown her. Gahh family lol.
As many of you may know, i read a ton of vamp novels. I read about 3-6 novels a week by various authors such as lyndsay sands, amanda ashley, ann rice, and so on. However, although the book "Bite Me if You Can" was a good story, i was very dissappointed with the way the author portrayed the vampire.
Although a lot of literature dealing with vampires are myth and legend, that is what makes it so appealing to its readers. Though the authors change, i notice that most books i read follow the same set of guidelines a vampire lives by, however lyndsay sands did not, but more of humanized the vampire making it seem like there was no difference between the two at all.
In most books i read the following are present:
1. No sunlight, it will burn
2. They must feed off of humans in a humane manner unless they are rogue
3. They can wipe memories
4. They cannot eat human food
5. taking blood from a donor andgiving it back to them is creating a blood bond lasting for eternity
6. cannot have babies in some novels
7. cannot have garlic or holy water
and so on
in lyndsay sands novels the following occur
1. they can only dring blood from a bank out of a plastic bag
2. the only way you can have a bond with someone is being a lifemate and that can only occur if they cannot read each others thoughts or control thier minds
3. real food is regularly consumed
4. sunlight is a normal thing, they can bathe if they wanted to, they just would have to feed more often
5. they are not repelled by a lot of things
i am not saying it is wrong to write that way, im just saying in order to keep consistency authors should stick to the guidelines.
When is it ok to cross the barrier of trust and confide within someone your deepest secret that you're a vampire? Although i know the dangers of telling humans about our kind, how are we ever going to earn the respect otherwise. As of now we hide amongst the crowd, pertaining to our nature only in the shadows where others do not dare to enter.
Only my closest friends know about me, and who i am, and they are very accepting, but ever since i was literally shunned from a guy i dated for being one who lives off of energy, i feel the need to protect our status and stay hidden among those shadows.
Is it right? Should we keep hiding from the world?

That the truth is we are just like them and that's what scares them the most. We know the beasts we are inside and people don't want to see it or know about it.
So we are the things of ledgend and lore. And for know that's were we need to stay. Our own family and community. Know that we that are the darkness embrace and watch over each other. Your home now. Welcome my kindred to a whole knew world.
