who wasn’t standing by the bed but right in front of her he leaned down and hugs her softly pulling her close as he said “have you told you brother about the dreams he might be able to help and Amber I don’t want you to be alone with Eagle as we don’t know what he is capable of” then he slowly leaned Ambers head up looking into her eyes and kissed her gently.

Ashlynne opened the door and froze stopping them Tom tried to hold on to Amber but she moved to quickly and he couldn’t get hold of her and as Ashlynne came in Amber looked at her then walked down the stairs and stood behind the sofa listening to the others, Ashlynne stood in the door way looking at Tom sitting on the floor getting up slowly red in the face he looked at Ashlynne and as he walked past her he snarled “thanx a lot just as I was getting through to Amber” and went out of the room as he came down stairs Amber ignored him and looked at her brother, Tom understood and just carried on walking he got his coat and went to the door Gavin looked over at him and said “hey Tom where you off to so quick I thought you was going to ask Amber something about tonight mate” and winked at him Tom clenched the handle and said “ back off Gavin im not in the mood” and went out Amber was bout to follow him when she felt her brothers hand on her arm she looked at him then looked away.

Pete followed Tom down the street calling to him Tom ignored him and walked faster, Pete caught up to him and grabbed his arm softly, Tom turned and went to punch Pete but stopped just before he did and looked at Pete then looked away, Pete smirked and said “hey lets go some where close to Ambers but private so we can talk ok” Tom nodded slowly and followed Pete to a secluded area near Ambers, Pete tried to read Tom but couldn’t as he was hiding everything from him Pete sat there and asked what happened and Tom just looked at Pete and said “you need to talk to your sister she’s not in the best of places right not and Eagle isn’t what he may seem” then he looked away Pete patted Tom on the shoulder and said “come on lets get back in before that mate of yours gets to cocky round my sis then the both of them walked in silence back to Ambers,

At Ambers Gavin was snuggling up to Ashlynne making Amber feel uncomfortable but she didn’t show it as her eyes were red Eagle was watching her closely he walked over to her and placed his hand on her knee making her jump she looked at him but all she could think of was the way Tom had kissed her the vision of eyes going through her mind and the vision the panther showed her she looked into Eagles eyes and all she saw was longing for power something clicked and she got out of her chair and went to the door just as Tom opened the door and she froze feeling awkward again she backed away and let them in.

Gavin and Ashlynne left with Eagle round eleven and Pete told Amber to tell him and Tom bout her dreams, they all sat around the table as she explained her dreams to them in full and Pete took her hand and said “go to London you need to see what your guardian is telling you “ then he looked at Tom ad Amber sitting next to each other and said to Tom “you need to go with her she will need someone who she can trust with her and you have a gift of your own to share with Amber” as he smirked then he went and called Tom along with him as he would be in the same room as Pete for tonight, Amber went to sleep soon after that.

Friday morning she woke up shakily and went down stairs some thing hadn’t felt right as she went to sleep that night she made herself some breakfast and put some out for the cats breakfast just as they came down, as she was doing all of these things outside her house in the fields behind the house

, I woke with a startle to the sound of the front door closing I walked down the stairs to find someone in a black raincoat standing in the door way slowly turn around and lower their hood as they did I realised who it was and walked over to them and cleared my throat and stood there trying not to laugh, as the guy turned round he picked me up by the waist and said “soooo amber how’s it been little sis” I started to laugh as I held him tight then when he placed me down I asked him how his visit was and he just ignored the question and picked up poppet who was purring at his feet I went into the kitchen and made him a cup of tea as I put his coat on the hook as I did Pete came into the kitchen and asked “hey Am could I crash here a few nights if that’s ok “ I watched his face and noticed that his eyes still change when he was hiding something and I replied “sure you can stop here but I’m going London for awhile in couple days but first tell me what’s going on” Pete looked at me and looked away I sighed and said “ok then well im going back to bed now you can either sleep on the sofa or in the spare room ok” I gave him a kiss and went back to sleep,

I couldn’t sleep for the rest of the night, when ever I closed my eyes I could see the panther staring back at me with longing in his eyes which is how eagle looked at her the first time she saw him now her brother returns, amber knew something bad was going to happen and she needed her brother with her otherwise he wouldn’t have turned up like he had. Meanwhile over at Ashlynne’s Gavin was getting the beer in for Ashlynnes birthday party on the Friday before they went London it was a surprise for her, he had just taking in the last barrel when he heard a branch snap in the trees he walked over to see who it was but couldn’t see anything, he heard another sound a low growling of an animal he backed off when he noticed the eyes as he did he clenched his fists he hadn’t always liked animals and he picked up a rock and throw it towards the eyes as they came closer and closer he got scared as they hadn’t changed level or moved, he backed off more and more and fell over he looked up but the eyes had gone, Gavin took his time to catch his breathe and he went back in locking the door behind him.

Thursday morning and Amber had just come back from her morning run Pete had made her breakfast and smiled softly at her and offered her the chair she sat down and looked at her brother his eyes were changing a lot recently more then she remembered Amber leaned across the table and took his hand then asked “what’s wrong you know you can always trust me Pete” Pete looked at her took her other hand and said “ what dream have you been having Amber I need to know” I looked at him and laughed softly replying “ I haven’t had any” and looked away as I started to eat Pete was getting angry I could tell he looked at the table and said “ Amber I need to know now fathers gone!” I froze as I slowly asked “ gone where” sounding surprised Pete shook his head and held my hand softly as he said gently replied “he passed away two weeks ago but not before saying I need to look after you and stay with you as trouble is coming which you are not ready for you haven’t got your strength…” then he cut off I looked at him wondering what he meant I ate my food ignoring it but I couldn’t taste the food in front of me as pictures kept going over my vision and I couldn’t concentrate, I put my fork down and went upstairs with Pete calling after me he soon came up to see if I was alright.





Eagle was wondering around the park he was sitting on the mound of grass not to far away from the swings when he heard voices coming along the path, to his surprise it was the people he saw the day before he waited until they stopped gradually he closed his eyes and slowed his breathing he could hear what they were talking about, when they mentioned Amber he felt his breathe quicken and he eyes shot open as his body got uncontrollably hot he was surprised by this and tripped over as he got up, the others noticed this and came over Gavin helped him get back up and looked at him he noticed it was eagle and smiled in a friendly manner, Ashlynne looked at him and asked if he was ok Eagle nodded slowly as the heat cooled down he noticed tom looking at him strangely and noted that Tom had never really liked him yesterday so just ignored it,

Eagle asked the other two how they were and if anything special was going to happen over the weekend Ashlynne smiled and yes well actually we are about to head to Ambers and on the weekend we are all going London to have a great time should be fun as she said excitedly and Gavin added in “its also your birthday tomorrow darling” Ashlynne blushed and smiled at the remark and replied “yes what have you got me hot stuff” Tom looked away and rolled his eyes as he said “get a room you two” Ashlynne looked at him irritated and Gavin replied “fine then we will lets go to Ambers she’ll lend us a room” Tom shook his head as they began to walk off towards Ambers Ashlynne noticed Eagle stay back and shouted come on ur invited to and she ran up to him and dragged him by the arm he wasn’t to pleased about that he wanted to shake her off but at the same time he wanted to know why he burned up all over that never happened before so he just let her drag him along.

Pete was up stairs knocking on Ambers door to get her to open when 20mins later there was a knock at the front door Pete said “ ill get it hang on” Gavin outside looked surprised and said Amber never has a male in the house who’s that, Pete got to the door but before he answered it he relaxed his breathing and sensed that three of the people his sister knew while the other she didn’t he looked him over just as the door knocked again which got him angry he opened his eyes and they were deep black like pools of ink he opened the door and said “ what do you want!” and looked everyone over, Ambers friends never knew anything bout Ambers family as she never spoke of them so they didn’t realise that Pete was her brother, Pete was staring angrily at Gavin when he noticed Eagle at the back he knew who he was, he was about to shut the door when Tom came forward and asked “hi I don’t know who you are but we was wondering if Amber was around and if she didn’t mind us stopping awhile” Pete sighed and said “ one min I call her for you” the others waited at the door as Pete went to the bottom of the stairs and shouted out “Amber dear there are some people here to see you” Amber rolled her eyes and came downstairs in one of her long t-shirts and looked at her brother angrily with her red eyes, she went to the door and saw her friends and smiled Pete stood close behind her and noticed Eagles eyes examining his sister and clenched his fist the others were surprised bout how she answered the door and Ashlynne asked “Errmmm Am could we come in please it is cold out here” Amber moved a side and said “sure come on in” then closed the door she looked at her brother and he looked at her and said softly “im sorry for how I acted this morning it wont happen again” Amber smiled and gave him a huge hug as she had missed him so much he picked her up and held her like that for awhile then they went over to the living room and Ashlynne asked so how long you too been together then and Pete looked shocked and laughed he said “im Ambers brother” as he noticed the shocked faces he looked at his sister and smirked “ let me guess she doesn’t talk about family much”

Tom smiled and said “no she don’t” then looked over at Amber and smiled as he walked past her in to the kitchen Amber went in to the kitchen after him with the cups and watched him as he looked in the fridge for something then went over to him and held the door open and looked in Tom noticed her looking in the fridge and jumped back as he stared to feel awkward with her looking at him he looked away and noticed the others were talking in the living room except Eagle he was looking at Ambers brother and then over at Amber this made him feel angry so he moved closer to Amber and noticed Eagle sit up and look over at him he ignored Eagle and looked at Amber and said “so where are you cats today then” Amber smiled and said “follow me and ill show” she walked up stairs and looked at her brother as she went up he looked at her curious but just smiled Tom slowly followed

Amber upstairs into one of the rooms where poppet and spike had curled up on the bed and were asleep Amber walked in purring softly Tom felt weird and as he Amber looked back at him her eyes were turning bright red he looked straight at her eyes and then looked at the cats who were now awake as Amber said “here they are see “ and smiled softly, Tom looked away gingerly and slowly stepped towards Amber and stroked poppet she liked it and meowed gently moving towards him Tom looked at Amber and smiled saying “she likes me” Amber smiled back and yea she does, tom what do you think of Eagle”, Tom looked at her confused as his blood froze in his veins as he looked down at poppet he replied “there’s something not right about him he isn’t human don’t ask me how I know there’s something in his eyes” looked towards Amber smiling “a lot like yours do at time to time but that’s when your angry but with him it’s something more” Amber was standing by the door now and she sat down and looked at Tom and said “Tom ive been having weird dreams and my.., father died a couple weeks ago and now this stranger turns up and my brother to be honest with you Tom I don’t know what to do” she looked down at her hands on her knees then up at Tom

Who Am I



It was a cold September night, when I found myself walking along one of the dingiest walkways in east London, the night was hair rasingly silent I continue down the walkway silently as not to gain any attention when suddenly I cud hear someone screaming, my whole body tensed at the ear shattering scream I tired to block it out by closing my eyes but to no avail. I picked up my pace curiously keeping an eye on the shadows as the change I started to run slowly as I came to the end I began to hear footsteps behind me I froze as my heart jumped into my throat…………

I woke in a cold sweat, with my heart beating in my throat I got out of bed and went into the bathroom splashing my face with water I looked in the mirror and to my relief my eyes had go back to their originally colour smiling softly I noticed something different with my mouth I just ignored it and went downstairs to find poppet lying in front of the fire looking up at me with her emerald eyes. As I entered the kitchen she meowed softly and followed me in circling my ankles to get attention, I laughed gently and bent down picking her up. I went over to the answering machine and pressed the replay button noticing I had two new messages, one was from Ashlynne asking If I wanted to go to London for a few weeks to go site seeing, the other was from Gavin asking to meet up. I sighed softly having had enough of his excuses, so I deleted his message and called Ashlynne back.

The phone rang for awhile before Ashlynne picked up she sounded rather tired as it was 4am I apologised for the late call and said “sure ill come London with you, when will we be going and how are things with ya”, Ashlynne sounded surprised and replied “cool we can go in a few days and everything’s ok thanx how about you why are you up so early” I ignored the question and replied “ok then see you in a few days and ill explain then”, I hung up shortly after and sat down on the sofa with poppet on my lap wondering where spike had got to as I was slowly drifting off to sleep, I heard a loud noise outside I jumped and went to go see what it was as I opened the door spike ran inside hissing I looked outside everything seemed normal to me but spike didn’t seem himself, so I went outside in to the night and looked around I couldn’t see anything at first then as I looked closer I could see emerald gold eyes staring back at me from the shadows, I thought to myself that the positions of the eyes made the creature to big to be a cat, so I slowly backed away towards the house when I noticed another glimmer which came from this creatures mouth my blood froze in my veins as I slowly backed away still as I finally reached my house I went in and locked the door. I slid against the back of the door breathing fast as my whole body began to shake I felt poppet and spike come up to me and I smiled gently we went and lied in front of the fire with them and slowly went to sleep.

I work up 4hrs after to a loud banging on my door I groaned unhappily and went to see who it was as I opened the door Gavin stepped in with someone else I looked at him then back at Gavin angrily and shouted “WHAT DO YOU WANT” Gavin looked at me and only just noticed I was in my night gown and looked confused he stepped back and trod on spikes tail which got be even more anger, Gavin looked down and said “ sorry spike, but you shouldn’t have been there” I felt my blood rushing through my body and I knew if I looked in a mirror now my eyes would be a amber, I growled at Gavin and he shut up straight away as spike and poppet cam over to me as I bent down and stroked them I looked up at Gavin and said “is there any reason in particular you came barging into my house” Gavin looked like a lose pup right now and said “well one I wanted to see you and errrrm two Tom here said he say something last night” I looked at Tom and asked “what did you see exactly” Tom blushed as he looked me up and down and said in a soft voice as he bent down near poppet “to be honest I only saw its eyes” looking at poppets eyes and stoking her face gently I smiled softly and said well then.

As I stood up I looked at and Gavin and said “well I need to get dressed so since you’re here make urself useful poppet and spike haven’t eaten yet” with that I walked upstairs into my room and locked the door I looking in my wardrobe and got my black and red dress out I looked in the mirror and noticed my eyes and thought “oh great just what I need hmm why do I always get anger around him and then this happens” I took my top off and stopped to look out the window as I did I saw straight away this boy who looked the same age as me but I knew he wasn’t he was looking straight at me it was we were like in the same room, my eyes darted to his mouth and straight away I looked away and shut the curtains and got dressed, as I brushed my hair the strangers face was running through my head I couldn’t stop thinking of him until I smelt something from down stairs I put some lip stick on then went down.

Once I stepped foot into the kitchen breakfast was on the table Gavin looked shocked to see me in a dress again I smiled softly and stroked poppet and spike and had breakfast soon after I went out and Gavin and Tom had to leave, I was walking down to Ashlynne and went through the park I saw her there and to my surprise she was with Tom and Gavin I felt anger but I ignored it I saw poppet run around with spike soon after her I smiled and laughed softly Ashlynne saw them and looked up to see me she smiled and came over to me how did you sleep I just groaned and kept an eye on my cats playing thinking I wish I could be that free when I heard a voice in my head say “you could be you just have to let it be like that”, I looked around confused when I suddenly saw out the corner of my eye I saw poppet being chased and straight away I went to her my eyes glowed red and I got anger at the dog I though soft thought to poppet and she saw me and ran to me but I saw the dog coming in fast,

When all of a sudden I saw a blur and the dog stopped at the sane time as me and I looked to my right and I saw the guy from the garden holding poppet, I walked up to him and said “thank you” and looked at him as I did his eyes changed to a emerald gold and I froze as I felt mine change from amber to blue right in front of him I saw his look change to shocked and I stroked poppet in his hands softly and she moved from his arms on to my shoulder and I went over to the others as poppet settled on my shoulders, Ashlynne looked at me I saw her holding Gavin’s hand and he was holding hers tightly and I said “so you to are together now then” and nodded to their hands Ashlynne smiled but Gavin didn’t as he say the guy follow me and he said “err excuse me but what’s your name if you don’t mind me asking” I turned around and looked at him and I said “who me or her” and pointed to Ashlynne the guy laughed and walked closer to me and stroked poppet and said in reply “ you” as he looked in to my eyes Ashlynne said “her names amber” and winked at me I frowned at her then looked at this stranger, he stroked my face gently and said calmly “makes sense her name would be that, my names eagle” as he smiled, Tom looked at eagle wondering where he had come from and noticed a few things about him that made him stand out from the others and pointed them out to Gavin as Ashlynne came over to me and said *you don’t mind if I invite Gavin with us when we go London as he is having a rough time with his family right now and if you want you can bring someone along” I looked at Gavin, Tom and Eagle then Ashlynne and said “I don’t mind you can bring him if you want I need to get back right now so ill see you tomorrow at the coach station” I looked around and I saw spike rolling over in the grass I meowed softly and he looked up at me automatically and started over to us as I said bye to every one.

As I got back to mine spike jumped up on to the kitchen table and poppet ran on to the sofa I smiled and put some food out for them as I took of my shoes and went upstairs I opened the window in my room to allow the air in,

I lay down on my bed and slowly drifted off to sleep…….. I was standing in the middle of the central park in London as out of the shadows it appeared at first I thought it was nothing then as it got closer I noticed what it was, my breathe stopped in my throat as it prowled towards me my blood was rushing through my veins, it stopped in front of me and sat there staring at me, I looked back at him looking deeply into his eyes
