The battles are over, the day is done
the war is ending with the setting sun
They lay beside their bloody swords and sycthes,
some even died by side knife, millions have lost their life
Blood now covers the floor, they were just pawns in this polictical war
The vetrans no longer do roam
beaten and bloody they find their way home
one vet now constanly filled with fear and alarm
the other is now missing his right arm
They are haunted as comes the final day
they see bodies spread in vast array
they were just basic infrantry
one samurai one century
This is all that's left for all to see
a pity, such an undecisive victory
They arrive on the beach just out of reach the
their victory they greatly beseech
thousands begin the crushing attack
most do not look back
as the final boats come to shore
some know they will leave nevermore
they move under the veil of the dark
attacking on the first song of the lark
this war has been long and tough
digging deep they find the dimond's rough
they go all day and into the night
never ending this perilous fight
they keep giving more forgetting they're sore
but when it's over only one will win the war
They ran,back into the city
people greet them with great pity
They constantly ask if the end is near
they had to burn everything they held dear
As they lie tired
on the other side a general hired
They hope to end it quick
with swords and sharpened sticks
With anger running at large as they stand on the marge
to load the barge as they prepare to launch the final charge
