The Ultimate Vampire Resource and Directory

I just woke up and discovered it's warmed up beyond what it's been the last few days... Today, instead of having highs that are just above 0F, we might have lows that are just below zero instead! I'm going to bundle up and go pick up a little food shortly, while it's sort of nice out. (It's still only 15F out there--if I'm doing the math correctly, that's about -9C for those in other countries.)

So all the poking and prodding and stuff I've done has given me enough understanding to code one from scratch.... I've reworked the Coven of Obscure Quietus' "Shamelessly Bragging" page so it works on a navigation box! It looks fantastic. (Link opens in a new window/tab.)



I put up the new page a few days ago and forgot to make the journal entry. Silly me...



I got told to update the Highlight Member section as well. Our newest Highlight Member is... me. *sigh* I guess I knew I couldn't avoid it forever, not with all the work I've been doing recoding pages.

Imzadi was supposed to be coming down after work tonight, and he can't make it due to finances. I was really looking forward to seeing him, holding him, sleeping next to him...and I won't get to now until the middle of February. At least we'll have a little over two weeks together then. We were supposed to be going to SCA Twelfth Night this Saturday, but without a ride, I can't do that either. I guess I have more time to stay home and code...

The weather isn't helping my mood any; a cold front's moving in that is going to mean daily high temps just above or below zero, with wind chills at 15 to 25 below during the day. The news is talking about it lasting 3-5 days, so I went and got my medication refills this afternoon; I have no need to leave my apartment between now and Tuesday morning. *flips off the cold front* Take that! :p

So I'm currently working on revising the Coven's HTML coding page, and I'm taking the opportunity to expand it a little (well, it's doubling in size because I'm adding a bunch of info on design and layout)....I showed the work-in-progress to Ahriman and he liked it so much that he gave me his mark! *dances* To me, it's an honor, and as of today, I've been in the Coven for a whole whopping 2 months. I've been promoted a couple of weeks ago to Coven Message Master, Forum Master, and Detail Master, but I still didn't expect to get the mark of my Coven Master.



I've snagged the code from someone's navigation box and am currently poking at it and changing numbers so I can figure out how it works, because that's one of the sections I want to put into the new HTML coding page. I believe I've got enough of a handle on it to try building myself a new profile with a nav box... :) So far, it's working well. That means I'm close to understanding the process well enough to explain it to someone else. :)
