I close the store around here most nights. At least two nights a week, that entails leaving around 9 or 9:30 at night. And around here, let me tell you what, it gets dark EARLY. I mean as in 4 to 4:30 early.



So I get all my scut work done, cash out, and I'm heading for the door to leave when I realize that the main bathroom light is on. I know I had already emptied the trash in there a long time ago, so it should have gone out (it's on a timer).



So I walk over there to turn off the light, and realize that the door is locked.



There is no one else in this store but me, the bathroom light is a motion sensor style, and the lock is one you have to twist to engage. After knocking, getting no answer (really?) and getting the screwdriver, I opened the door to find no one there.



I. Was. Spooked.

French Haunted House Auctioned Off on eBay for Just 1 Euro

A listing on the French version of eBay recently went viral after being picked up by major news outlets. Apparently, someone is selling a haunted house in Arbresle, Rhône-Alpes region, for just 1 euro.



It’s true that the place doesn’t look like much, if the photos are anything to go by, but still 1 euro for a 110 square meter home and a 350 square meter piece of land is really cheap. Maud69620, the person who listed the house does have her reasons for basically giving away the house for free. According to the description on eBay, a horrible murder took place there sometime during the 1950s, and now it’s haunted by troubled spirits. Paranormal phenomena observed inside the house include knocks on windows, strange voices and murmurs, weird noises and moving objects. All that’s missing from a complete haunted house package is a ghost. But Maud is not in the mood for jokes. In fact she specifically asks those who think her listing is a fake not to contact her, as the ad is only addressed to those who believe in the spirit world.







Regarding the alleged murder that took place on the premises, the poster says the victims were a couple who owned the house at the time. The ruthless killers were a team of workers looking for some kind of treasure hidden inside. The murder was never confirmed, as the bodies were never found. The owners simply vanished without a trace, but according to the listing, their bodies were buried in a nearby field.







There’s quite a debate going on right now on French websites regarding the authenticity of the ad, but there are certainly those who wouldn’t take the place even if someone paid them a fortune.

Yesterday, I got up to get ready for work. I took a shower, stuck hot rollers in my hair, and wandered into the kitchen for a handful of drugs and a glass of juice, as is my wont. I glanced out the window in the kitchen as I was drinking my juice, and noticed that there was a light dusting of snow over everything, and it was still drifting down, albeit slightly, and the gritty type that slides off everything.



"ppphhhttt" I said to myself. "Won't even have to drop it into low gear to get over the bridge."



The honeymoon is over, people. Ima have to have a veritable blizzard for it to work me up into a lather over driving in it these days....LMAO

It never ceases to amaze me at the absolutely rank stupidty that passes for people on VR sometimes. I fail to see the logic behind blocking so many people. If you had even bothered to look, you would realize that not only have some of them not been here in so long their profile has cobwebs, but some of them have been out right suspended for life.



He even blocked Empress for God's sake. Can you imagine what would have happened if she were still here? Few people left around here can even remember her name. Guess Cancer had the right idea....

And not to myself, for a change, but to my husband's boss, who apparently cannot string a coherent thought together first thing in the morning to save his blessed life.



Scott made a big deal about how much it costs to text on our phone, so he insisted that my boss not text me when she needed something. So I made his wishes known across the galaxy, that texting was henceforth no longer allowed in the kingdom.



Nuff said, far as I was concerned.



The other day, as I am getting dressed for work, and Scott was already up, the trill goes off that signals somebody has sent a text. I come running out of the bathroom, to see Scott standing there with the phone in his hand, and announcing that he doesn't have to go to work until 1 pm, instead of the 11 am he was scheduled for. Suffice it to say, I gave him the southern what for he deserved after reading me the riot act about ME getting texts.



Yesterday morning, the trill goes off again. It is again his boss telling him again he doesn't have to come in until 1 pm, instead of 11 am (they have been having problems with the press).



So I texted him back, saying I would let him know.



The phone goes off again, with another text from his boss. It says Who. That's it. Just who.



So I called his cell phone, to let him know it was me. No answer.



So I texted him back, it's Luanne, and let it go at that.



45 minutes later, the phone rings. It's his boss, wanting to speak to Scott. I told him he was still asleep.



"But he called me"



no, that was me, calling to let you know it was me answering your text.



"What text?"



un hunh...



I'll tell him he doesn't have to come in until 1.



"Ok, thank you."

So this morning, at 9:30 am, I heard the trill again. I'm not getting up, since I don't have to be in till 1 pm myself today. When I do get up, and check the phone, there is this message:



"ok"



Scott has already left for work for the morning, with the details of exactly what I found on the pohone and when. Can't WAIT to hear how this turns out...lol.

Ima ask this, and I have a feeling I'm gonna get a whole lot of bullshit from people who just wanna spout crap and don't know anything at all. And hopefully I'm gonna get some answers from people I know who will be succinct, and know their shit.



I went to rate profiles, just to kill some time. I know, me and rating profiles never go well together. But just for something different, I decided to start with the lowest rated ones, just for a lark. I figured I was going to get alot of suspended profiles, and I scored a direct hit on that one. After all, I read; I pay attention to what I read, and I know who to read when I want to know wht's beating the pulse on VR.



What I didn't expect was to see a whole lot of them referred by the same person. I'm not naming names, cause that would stir up a industrial strength janitor in the drum pile of crap, so I'm just asking.....



Why is it that so many suspended profiles had the same member as a referral? Any one care to share?



Inquiring mind wants to know....

I am now putting it here this year. And it is not relegated to just people I know- I want anybody and everybody who reads my journal, and even those of you who don't on a regular basis, to play along with the rest of us.....



I was wondering the other day, and I decided to put this in words, and see just who popped up and actually answered.



since it is about to be the New Year, some sooner than others, I was wondering:



Who are the three top people you talk to on Vampire Rave and why? And I don't mean friends or family that you know in the "real" world, and talked into joining (pay attention, Kentucky gals...lol).



I mean people you met here in whatever fashion, and decided that they deserved your attention, so you struck up a conversation that has turned into a solid friendship.



And don't forget the reasons why you started talking to them in the first place.
