broken wings and claws

People can say hurtful things. It is even worse when your family or loved ones try to break you. I have been broken. The wings I had...plucked and broken. They thought by breaking my wings, my spirit would die. But they forgot one vital piece of information....my spirit is strong, my spirit is like claws....I have clawed my way up from the depths of depression and what they thought was defeat. I have clawed my way to happiness and true unconditional love to the point that my wings are almost fully healed. I will soar! I will fly higher than they thought I could possibly fly! I can accomplish anything with broken wings because it is my claws that pull me up off the beaten ground.
