A friend of mine and former co-worker BJ committed suicide 2 days ago, she shot herself. I didn't even see it coming. I'm just kinda in shock and I can't seem to stop crying. I don't understand....Heading to a memorial for her in a few hours.

I think its pretty safe to say that I'm a meat and potatoes kind of gal, it kinda comes with living in Idaho. So when I tell you that slugging down this Slim Fast is so very NOT satisfying and that I feel like I am being deprived *insert whining* you will surely understand.... :)

Do you feel that there should be laws concerning Internet Accountability? I just watched talhotblond, a true story documentary out on DVD about an Internet love triangle that ends in tragedy, it didn't really shock me but there is a twist about halfway through it that surprised me although it shouldn't had concerning some of the Internet fraudulent relationship crap I myself have dealt with in the past. Its a good film, albeit a sad one. I think everyone on the Internet should watch it. Which brings me back to the main question: Do you feel that there should be laws concerning Internet Accountability?

Ugggh. My son was at his dads last night so I called him like I always do to say goodnight etc...well we tease each other about things for fun like I'll say "when are you going to get my castle built?" ya know. So last night I had just gotten off the dating site I had joined last week, feeling a little disappointed and said offhand "so when are you going to find me a boyfriend?". I was kidding of course and trying to be light hearted. Well, my son giggles and says "you can have my dad". GROAN. His dad is right beside him and I can hear him chuckling. Mind you my son is serious. I quickly explain to my son that that ship has sailed, his dad is remarried etc....then he says "you still have feelings for him, why not?"...... BIGGER GROAN. Now I can feel the red creep up my neck and across my face. How do you explain to your child that those feelings are just feelings of residual LUST and nothing more, heh. "Yeah son, I would fuck his brains out but then I'd have to kick him to the curb." YOU DON'T.
Its hard when your child wants you to reunite with their parent. I forsee a long conversation in the near future. And I'm wondering what his dad is thinking....ugggh.

Well my adventures on the dating site I joined have been pretty interesting so far lol. I just had a 20 year old hit on me good God...he won't stop messaging me lol, and one of his pics are of the bottom of his feet with silly faces drawn on his socks, uhmmmmmm, NO! It says clearly on my profile 30+. Thats just wrong in sooo many ways.....*shivers*.
Then I had a 59 yr. old message me telling me he's not like your typical 59 yr. old and to call him, he gave me his number. OK.....just what is a typical 59 yr. old? Uhmmmmm, NO.
Another guy tells me how interested he is blah blah bkah but then gives me like a questionairre to fill out LOL, this isn't a job interview dude, Uhmmmmm NO.
Then I talk to a guy I really like, he is my age and seems great, we exchange numbers and email addy's. So not 5 minutes into the conversation he steers it towards sex. Alright, I love sex like any hot blooded person but please give it a few weeks. The next 3 phone conversations go similar. There won't be anymore phone convo's needless to say.
All in all I've had at least 100 responses, not shabby, but a good man is hard to find even among the willing.

Well, my daughter Brianna is 7 weeks pregnant. She is 19. She has always been pro-choice and so have I and in fact she has always said she would get an abortion if she ever found herself in this situation. Surprisingly she has decided to keep the baby, which is great as I told her I would support her whatever she decided. But I know what she is in for and I'm not sure she is ready for it, I had 2 children and was divorced from my first husband when I was 19 and those were some of the hardest years of my life. But she has a support group that I never had, I just know that she has liked her freedom and thats going to change. The dad isn't really in the picture.
My son Brandon and his wife are expecting again as well and she is 9 weeks along, its a blessing as they just lost a baby 3 months ago.
We have a fertile family :D

Alright, well I did the unthinkable and joined a dating site. Does that make me sound desperate? I just can't seem to meet anyone where I live....ugggh. I just want to find a good guy with his shit together, is that too much to ask? Oh and decent to look at LOL

Had some sad news today, my friend Geno is in the hospital and dying of cancer. Apparently his entire body is riddled with it. There were signs but being old and cantankerous he just kept putting it off. Geno has brought so much light into my life and everyones around him, I know that his family is just devastated right now and my heart goes out to them. I wish there was something I could say or do.... :(((((((((((

Well apparently Jesus doesn't have a sense of humor *looks over my shoulder*....after my journal entry yesterday I discovered that one of my diamond earrings had fallen out of my ears, they were a gift from my ex-husband for one of my birthdays about 5 years ago. I earned those earrings dammit :((( Can't find it anywhere.

I was a very bad girl today. I couldn't resist hehe. This morning I was explaining to my 9 year old son what Easter is really about and when I got to the part where I told him that Jesus rose from the dead with a straight face I told him it was because Jesus is a vampire. *WEG* Ok, I hear all you Christians gasping but no worries I told him I was just joking. But I still had the perverse pleasure of knowing he would relay this story to his stepmother, a religious fanatic *giggles*.

A similar thing happened to me about 4 years ago, with a former co-worker who shot himself - none of us saw it coming either, as he was the funny chatty guy of the office.
