People ask me why I choose to interview people here on VR. The answer is simple - each and every one of them make VR what it is for me.
You may not agree with me, and you are perfectly entitled to have your opinion on that, but if it wasn't for all the characters here, would you enjoy VR so much? I know that I wouldn't.
One of my favourite interviews was the very first one with Obonewits. He set the scene and took me from behind my desk to Michael's library. Who is Michael you might ask? Read Of Blood and Magic to find the answer to that.
Another favourite interview was of course with Cancer. I wonder if you have any idea how amazing Cancer is? Not only did he work all the coding and constantly makes improvements to the site, he had the genius idea in the first place to make a vampire-themed site that really is top of its game - y'all wouldn't be here if you didn't agree with me on that. I also get asked where VR Towers is but that's a secret I am keeping.
Imagesinwords, Morrigon and MooniePie were all also brilliant people to speak to. Each one wholly committed to the site as well as being fascinating people I would not normally ever have the chance to meet. Morrigon's VisualEchoes Studio is the bisnez.
Birra was hilarious and probably the funniest person to interview although trying to make my words entertaining enough was pretty tough considering his superior command of language - feh, meh, and heh to that!
Saetan scared the crap out of me I have to say but I loved getting that interview. I laughed hard when I realised Saetan was a pretty nice dude - ssh! Don't tell anyone I said that though!
Wildchild was brilliant too and I loved how he's a big tough guy with a heart of pure gold.
The Antichrist was brilliant to speak to also. I wasn't sure how he would respond but judging from folk's comments, most people liked that interview too.
There are many more interviews in the series, each one a favourite, and hopefully many more to come.
Enjoy VR, I do.
AN INTERVIEW WITH A WONDERFUL SOUL

"To live in the world without becoming aware of the meaning of the world is like wandering about in a great library without touching the books."
Dan Brown
Some people just shine. They light up our lives by simply being. People who touch our hearts with their inner beauty are our angels on earth. I wanted to meet the one person who is guaranteed to put a smile on the face of the fiercest of demons - MooniePie...
Giggles and snorts are what MooniePie does best. I wondered if she had ever opened her little tea shop, if she could explain what porn hair was because I desperately needed a new hairstyle, and if she had ever found that elusive albino...
Who is MooniePie?
A moon pie, or MoonPie, is a pastry which consists of two round graham cracker cookies, with delicious marshmallow filling and dipped in chocolatety goodness. Oh wait.. I read that wrong. You want to know about me. Oops. Well, much like a moonpie I am delicious, sweet and a cracker. Another similarity between me and a moonpie is when I turn funky, not with mold mind you, I can make people ill.
Wow, I never realized how much I and a moonpie actually have in common. I don't know if I should be saddened or impressed by that.
I am a girly girl. I enjoy makeup and putting it on and I love to look and feel pretty. I can be prissy, but more so I am laid back. I am a jeans and shirt kind of girl, but I'll always rock it in style. Some people might assume I am high maintenance, but I'm just misunderstood. Lol ;o]
Since I've showed you the coating on the outside of a Mooniepie, yes I know that sounded dirty, I'll show you the inner workings. Now let me remove my pants.... oh wait..... I forgot this isn't Tijuana and I'm not working off ...nevermind that's a story for another time.
-shifts in chair-
I am a product of my life. And with being a product of my life it's made me a passionate person who loves the simple things. I love the beauty in life and in everyday sights. Maybe it's just the way a certain person looks at their partner or the way the wind plays with the leaves, whichever it is, it's beautiful to me.
I like to consider myself something of a renaissance woman; I read, I write, I create art and I learn from books, people and my surroundings. Every day that I breathe I am in a constant state of learning, growing and evolving. Life is beautiful. It saddens me when I seen the ones around me who want to revel in the darker, more negative areas of life. I feel that they are missing so much and holding themselves back.
Balance in life is very important to me. While I do have good qualities I also have negative ones as well. I am not ashamed of them; they are a part of me. At times I can get wrapped up in emotions, I can shut down my feelings completely and just be done with certain situations and I can be less than tactful when I am beyond of level of anger.
I am extremely protective of my feelings and inner emotions. I've built walls around certain aspects of who I am, not because I am scared to reveal it; but more so because of the time it takes to heal the wounds. It's a blessing and a curse of being someone who is passionate with their emotions and unsure of how to handle the turmoil it brings.
I embrace life and the joy it brings me. I do not have time to spare for things that waste my moments. Those moments are precious to me.
...and that was it in a nutshell. MooniePie was awesome. She had been 6 years on VR on January 08 2011 and I wanted to know, what were the biggest changes that MooniePie had seen in all that time?
When I first joined VR there was a lot of intelligent conversation and very little conflicts and members who came to troll. People came to actually seek information and participate with each other to see a different side of the world.
Now it seems that a lot of people are not content unless they are fighting over something. It's sad.
Other than that, the two biggest changes I have enjoyed in VR over the years have to be the layouts and the society system.
I love the fact that I can create a layout of my own and put not only my words but more of my style into art and expression. Not only does it help me express things that I cannot say with combinations of letters, but it also gives the reader/viewer a peek into how my mind works on different levels.
The society system is really wonderful and different. It gives you a chance to get to speak with people on a smaller scale and learn more about them without having to be afraid and uncomfortable in a more public setting like the main forum. And when you are comfortable enough you can move your society into an alliance which opens more doors and interactions between places.
I think this opens so many ways to enjoy VR.
However with saying that, I think there are times when it can take a toll on the enjoyment of VR.
Like when people do not understand the concept of forced inductions or the reasons as to why that's the way it is; which can be frustrating at times when people just want to throw a stink about it.
It's also frustrating when drama is the key point in a society. Granted each member has the right to run their society the way they choose, but wouldn't you want to shine in a positive light rather than a negative?
With every change there is good and bad. It happens in life and on here.
I paused just then to reflect...when I read MooniePie's journals, I often found myself nodding at what she had written. MooniePie didn't do drama in any shape or form and was more than capable of dishing out home truths when they were needed. I wanted to know what MooniePie did to relax?
I love to read; it's the smell of the books, the sounds of the pages as they turn and the feeling of the binding as you crack open a book that's never been opened before. A book is an escape into a world of imagination, feelings and places where we wish we could be.
There have been times when I've become so connected with a character in a book it saddens me to read the final page in the book. It's almost as though I mourn them until I can find another character to fit into their place.
I very rarely get rid of books. I feel as though when I do I get rid of a best friend. Yes, nerdy I know. Lol
I also enjoy Hidden Object Games and working in Photoshop. My new guilty addiction is hanging out on webcam with amazing people. They are my friends and the reason as to why I have enjoyed this site for so many years. They are wonderful.
I nodded at that. I knew that she was an optimist and preferred to see the beauty in the world than dwell on darker things, and I wondered if MooniePie could share her thoughts about life with us?
Life is a journey, a voyage if you will. Each day that we breathe we are always learning and growing. Along the way we learn some very hard life lessons, but I believe that they can mold us into who we are. And then we pass our knowledge down the line. While I do not believe in physical immortally, I believe that it can be achieved though memories and tokens of love.
I feel like people take the beauty of life for granted by the hustle and bustle of every life. People forget the different feelings and beauty that each part of our days hold. They become disconnected with the world around them and forget that not only are we alive, but so are a lot of the beautiful things that catches our eye.
In my path I've found that it is important to believe in something; even if it's you. While I am not a big fan of organized religion I still believe in God, or a higher power, and the power of magic within. Just because I believe in God doesn't mean that I cannot worship Him/Her through chants, rituals and magic.
As you can tell I am very eclectic with my beliefs in life. But that is what makes me uniquely and perfectly me.
...and to finish with anything other than a good old belly laugh now would be to neglect the side of MooniePie that we all know and love, so I needed to say: midgets, monkey-sex and albino penises - explain please?
Now this is where the story of Tijuana comes in. It's all coming back to me now. Excuse me if I get a little emotional over this story. There were some very powerful moments that happened within a short time.
When I was coming unto my 25th birthday I heard a tale. This tale startled me and made me curious all within the same breathe. I couldn't help but want to find out more about it. It was the tale of the rare albino penis.
I've heard they were as rare as the dodo bird and I couldn't help but want to see this strange and amazing member for myself. So I went and got myself prepared and started to set out on an adventure that was right up my alley!
Before setting out on my journey though, I needed to seek guidance from someone who would instill strength in me so I did not fail in my search. And with that I headed out to visit KadyL. After sitting with her for a bit, I decided it was now or never and took my leave with strength and her blessings.
While taking a path that led me along the ocean, I came across something that was a site to behold. In the water floating with such beauty and grace was a dark haired girl. As I rushed out into the water to help pull her raft ashore, I remember the thank you's that escaped from her lips. She told me she was from a place that started with a C and that they called her Imie. I could barely understand her because she was so water logged and tired. As we spent the time together resting a friendship blossomed and she was a wonderful addition to my journey.
As days turned into night and night into days we came across a place that peaked both of our interest. It was a place like no other. It was filled with little people! I found myself so smitten with them I couldn't help but love them; with their little arms and legs and their little feet. They were so precious I couldn't decided if I wanted to pick one up and throw it back and forth with my journey companion Imie or put them in my pocket and take them with me everywhere I went.
It didn't matter at this moment I was in little people heaven and enjoying every moment of it.
And that's when two of the most beautiful creatures made their way up from behind the group of little people. They were taller than the group that stood before us, which isn't saying much because they were still tiny, but they were magical. They introduced themselves as Rorri and Meq. I knew that to take them out of their element would shatter them. With their little houses and little shelves, it would be a culture shock in the worst ways. So while we spent time with them, I drank them up with my eyes and etched their beauty within my mind.
I was sad to go, but I knew my venture with Imie needed to continue. And so went ventured on bidding a bittersweet goodbye to the land I loved.
Time passed. It could have been days, weeks or even months. Keeping time was never something I was good at, so the days just sort of blended together.
Just when Imie and I thought that we would fall apart from lack of food and water a sign caught our eye. It advertised good food, wonderful drink and a place to rest your wary feet. We looked at each other, nodded our heads and set out to follow the signs.
We arrived at a place that looked rather interesting. As we walked in the door we could smell the different spices in the food and hear the endless chatter that came from a few filled tables. It teased our senses and made us want to stay even though the owner was a creepy bald man that was wearing some kind of mask and random colored pieces of hair. From over hearing conversations I believe he was referred to as Spancer, but I am probably mistaken.
As Imie and I passed a table the people sitting there requested that we joined them. They introduced themselves one by one; Hones, Lucky, Toldu, Tract, Anz and a few other names that have slipped my mind.
We laughed, we ate and we drank until our tummies were full and laugher was all around us.
After our meal the group started to ask questions about the journey Imie and I were having and why we were having it. After beginning to explain the reasons, it seems I had caught the eye of the creepy owner Spancer. And little did I know that Spancer had a special gift that made me question not only his sanity, but what he does in his spare time as well.
In the middle of conversations Spancer had the rare ability to make things appear where he wanted them to. Low and behold in the middle of serious conversations random acts of monkey relations would happen in the center of the table. Just when we thought we've had gotten rid of those monkeys, more would appear.
We couldn't help but laugh and we also couldn't help but look at him a little strangely because why would he want to see so many monkeys having relations in his business? You never realize how strange a person is until you can see inside their head, and I am sure there was a whole lot of strangeness inside that noggin' of his.
After so many night away from home, I decided that the alino penis was actually just a myth and I couldn't take any more time from the place I called home. That is when Imie and I parted to live in different places, but always kept in touch.
During my travels I found many different things, but I still have not found the rare albino penis.
If you know where to find this rare specimen, please don't hesitate to contact me. I would hate to grow old believe it is only a fairytale. It would sadden me.
And yes the above story is true.
Now, if you'lll excuse me, I need to go and tend to the emotion that has swelled within my heart from telling my tale.
Good night and Godspeed my people, GodSpeed.
Brilliant! I giggle-snorted, clutched my sides and roared with laughter. Nobody could top that.
Life is far too dull without laughter. Mooniepie shines. Thanks Mooniepie!

A site about vampires... meh.
The people on a site about vampires - pure gold. Whether it is the brilliantly disturbed, the dramatic, the misunderstood, or even just the average Joes and Joans, the people never cease to amaze me.
Include yourself in that list of good people that makes this site worthwhile. ;)
