The Ultimate Vampire Resource and Directory

Don't ever say the man doesn't listen to VR members. I have seen and heard several folks talking about how much they liked the new journal comments feature but wished for a way to know when they were placed on their own entries. Cancer listened and acted and now we have a like to jump right into the comments left. Thank you Sir, I for one and tickled pink.

Yep it's true, I really like people. The Human race have such amazing abilities and differences that it's something new to see every day.



I like helping people and always have even when in school I planned on being a nurse working with the mentally handicapped. Life changed my course and instead I ended up with law enforcement, helping all types of people. It was a tough but fulfilling career.



I know of one life I was directly responsible for saving, even had to break some rules to do it but it was so worth it. A man went home to his wife and kids and while I remained hidden from the press it makes me happy still to know it.



After I left work I promised myself to make it a point to say good things when possible to others. To encourage or offer compassion if needed, ideals if wanted and simply try to help others if possible.



I know it sounds stupid to want to involve myself with others like this, according to most others that know about it, I'm just asking for trouble. But I get a real kick when someone takes something I said and allows it to help them move forward or get past something blocking or bothering them. Life throws so many hurdles at us, shouldn't someone offer a leg up sometimes?

I understand where you are coming from dear. One of the things that bonds us, is the lifestyle we use to be in, in the police and emergency field. I know that when you help people, you feel good about yourself too.



Well I will thank you, on behalf of all the people that you sent a police officer too, as a dispatcher. When someone called for help, you were there and you did the ultimate thing. You sent them the help they needed, in the guise of police, fire or ambulance. I know that is a heady feeling, similar to being that ambulance arriving on scene and helping ease someone's pain.



I am stupid also, as I do involve myself with others like this. Counseling people online. I am giddy when people listen, but I try not to preach. Like you, i give them different ways of looking at things.

It is up to them, to decide whether our recommendations, our experiences, make us worth listening too.



You are definately worth listening too hon. *hugs*
