Well - everything is all done and all the preparations for the hurricane were for nothing.....I was lucky. I did not even loose power. I feel bad for those that lost their homes or their cars.....I am going to see what my community is doing to help those in need and volunteer to help

Thank you all that sent me message and made journal comments.....it was really heartwarming to see that you all cared!

It is now blue skies and great weather for the rest of the week here.

So apparently ......... in addition to an earthquake now NY will be hit with a hurricane...

I find it funny that the weather is reflecting my mood of late.

I am not as prepared as I should be....but I did my best. My daughter, the dog and I will hunker down in the lower level of the house with plenty of candles and board games.

I went to get water........mainly so we could flush the toilets when the power goes out and the store was cleaned out. So I went and bought giant buckets that I plan to fill with water and keep in the bathtub.......I do not mind if we cannot shower but I HAVE to have a working toilet!

So much for my doctor's appointment tomorrow....they have already called and asked me to reschedule.

I hope you guys are okay. Sacred is in the path of the storm too. I talked to him earlier today and told him that he better not get swept out to sea without telling me first!
