Not 10 minutes ago...I'm on my back on the floor doing the 3rd pecs rep with my dumbbells...this is an exercise where one lifts the weight with extended arms straight up off the floor and then slowly back down...this exercise is great for the pectorals...1...breathe...2...breathe...3...breathe...4...breathe....my peripheral vision catches movement to my right...so...I turn my head and I see a big black spider sprinting across the carpet straight for my face...I scream..."SPIDER!"...
Thank God I had those dumbbells in my hands and I used the one in my right hand to beat that big black spider to fucking death...man...it was close...
Well...if one takes away the racist and gendered casting, takes away the constant social messaging, takes away the constant woke pandering, takes away the forced comedic cliches, takes away the incredibly idiotic logic and reality to facilitate scene outcomes and a happy ending(?), "Renfield" might have been a good movie...but after viewing here I sit feeling shafted by Hollywoke once again...and with all honesty...no drama felt or meant...I am finished spending money on an industry with little or no integrity, for me that was their last chance and they failed miserably.
I understand it was fashioned to be a horror / comedy, that's what I expected...what I got was sheer suckiness throughout. I am so disappointed, I think they thought all the over the top gore would compensate for inadequate acting and writing, but even that was very poorly done.
Best part...Nicholas Cage as Dracula...close up...dialog..."Let's eat!".
Worst part...the rest of the movie...

I plan to wait for it to come onto one of the streaming services I have. Thanks for the review.
Damn. I was hoping the review on this one was gonna be that it was at least decent. :(
I need a new campy vampy to watch. Oh well. Thanks for the heads-up!
Okay...so...here it is...and the bitch is I know better...I know better...I have been burned countless times...countless...let down...disappointed...cinematically ravaged and raped over and over and over again...laid prostrate and broken...damaged almost beyond repair...almost...yet...still...a small ember of hope persists...a naive child like wish...an unreasonable optimism that clings to this black heart by the smallest of threads...thrusting an undeserved trust to the feature film and Hollywoodic abyss...tonight I am going to purchase..."Renfield"...God help me...
