It could have all been avoided,
Had you the smallest slice of cognizance unto yourself.
I’m not looking for a project, and I will not settle for less than I deserve.
Who am I? I have a resilience worthy of emerald envy.
Though I may bend, I never break.
And I don’t give up on anything I truly want…ever.
I find ways to conquer the impossible.
I have an inborn bullshit detector; it operates at lightning speed.
I will know within seconds whether you are genuine.
Your tears do not move me, so pull yourself together.
You are correct in that you don’t deserve me; I am too fierce for you.
I will not walk on eggshells for you,
Especially if you cannot extend the same courtesy to others.
For those who have the freedom of knowing themselves,
Being alone does not equate to being lonely.
On the contrary, it is liberating and fortifying.
Yet my heart is as true as a bullet,
And my spirit as subtle as a gun.

Thank you! I woke up this morning with that in my mind, and I had to write in down before I forgot it. This is the condensed version though; it originally was at least an essay's worth. LOL
