There's no such thing as a "downrate", as that would imply that there's a standard rate to be given. It's simply a rate. Everyone can choose to rate how they see fit. Everyone may want an auto-10 but nobody is obliged to give them. You'll be a lot happier here once you accept that fact.

when I have been bitched at by admins for giving them a 9, dont tell me there is no such thing as downrating. when you put a rate system in place, and place a number value on it 1 being worst and 10 being the best, then yes there is down rating. because there is always people who will rate you low just out of spite, or because they dont like you, the theme you chose, instead of on the effort you put in....the rating system on profile is the worst ting about this site because its the main basis for most drama on here for years.

That would be a "low rating" or a "high rating", rather than a "downrate". I find it sad that there are admins here who bitch when they get a 9 though.



People on here have always complained about ratings if they get less than a 10 (I used to be guilty of it myself till I got my priorities right), but it's gotten worse now that your profile rating has a direct impact on your level. We used to say "VR isn't a popularity contest" but it actually is, now.

Members, admins or not, can rate any other member any way they deem fit. Bitching about being "downrated" is pointless. Rate them the same and move on with your life.
