It's not a very Happy Birthday...last week my second oldest sister (12) lost her grandmother, they found her in a river. This week, we learned she had been shot in the head. She was incredibly close to her grandmother, like I was with mine (I was raised by mine). But cancer took mine, and another human being took hers. I can't help but pray, that she won't grow up as angry as I did. Having the only person that truly cared for your well being TAKEN from you...it's truly unbearable.

I understand completely. My dad was my world. When I lost him I thought life would stop, but to my dismay it kept creeping forward. They say time heals all wounds but I keep looking at the watch on my wrist (the watch my dad was wearing when he died) wondering when.

Thank you, Nell. It's not really my loss, but it breaks my heart that she has to go through that.
