The traffic report this morning mentioned an area of Black Ice on the Kelley Drive in Philly.



It's going to be a long winter!

I cut out of work early yesterday as I had a monumental task to accomplish before this morning.



I had to get my broken refridgerator from the basement out to beind the garage for the trash guy to pick up.



When we moved here it took 4 of us 3 hours to get it down the narrow stairs to the basement.



This time I used my brain first...Took off the doors of the fridge, removed all of the shelves etc., removed the door between the kitchen and basement stairs, removed the hand rail from the basement stairs as it stickes out 3" or so.



Liam and I had it up the stairs and out to the alley in 12 min!

Still stuffy, but my throat doesn't hurt as much, which is amazing. I did a lot of screaming at the TV last night during the Phillies game.



The fightin's almost gave me a heart attack, but they pulled it out in the end. I'm not very confident regarding how they will fare vs. The Dodgers.

Did you ever have your head feel like it was a baloon about to burst from internal pressure?



Like you have a thistle stuck in the back of your nose?



Like your throat has been replaced by a piece of the Bonneville salt flats?



Yea...This better resolve itself soon!

I attended my first band practice of the season this evening. I missed the first two practices due to work.



Every year I say the same damned thing...I really should have practiced my trombone once or twice between June and now.

yeah- we are now bugeting everything according to golf season around here- next summer is gutting the bathroom, and possibly my lifetime PM, the season after that the kitchen goes up in flames, and after that the deck goes up...lol

Gina and I went to give blood this evening at a Red Cross blood drive at our church.



They wouldn't take Gina's as her hematocrit was too low for them (but still within "normal" range according to the nurse there).



They had no problem taking mine! Odd thing was I had a Goth male nurse who "bled" me. He had black hair and beard and was wearing black scrubs. Kind of funny.

To recover from my weekend!



Saturday we had an officer's "retreat" for the Deacons and Eldes at church. From 8:30 am to 3:00pm. Got home around 3:30, made pizza dough, waited for it to rise then Gina fried it up and made some sauce to go with it for Pizza Fritta. mmm



After dinner we headed to Wal-mart to pick up some random stuff...shampoo, razor blades, oil for the car... Whenever I go to Wal-Mart I think of the "People of walmart" website. Check it out if you haven't already...it's hilarious.



I actually spent some time on VR last night. It's been a while so I got caught up on the House forum and my favorite journals.



Today we had Sunday school, then church then I had to go with David to supervise a bunch of the Boy Scouts selling popcorn at a local grocery store. Then home, quick dinner, get David back to church for youth group, go drop off the extra popcorn and money, get home, say high to Gina, who had been at the final regular season Phillies game all day, go back to church to get Dave...Had to wait an extra hour as he had to practice for a dramatic thing the youth are doing next sunday. Then Home and here I am!



I am tired and yet I still need to get to work tomorrow morning. Such is life.

I have bee freaking SWAMPED.



I haven't been on VR for more than a few minutes for quite a while.



Nothing "bad" is going dow, just busy as hell! Work is crazy busy (which is a good thing I guess) and we are way over-scheduled for other stuff.
