I liked this one. So many good ones though that I get in my email everyday. I do actually think this way, but it's hard to remember that when the shit hits the fan.
ACCEPT CHANGE WITH A SMILE
Sooner or later you'll experience a crisis in your life,
and how you meet it will determine your future happiness and success.
Since the beginning of time,
everyone has been called upon to meet such a crisis.
A closer look will show you that most 'crisis situations'
are opportunities to either advance or stay where you are.
In fact, most changes in your life will take place
out of either 'inspiration' or 'desperation.'
Whatever comes your way,
give it meaning and transform it into something of value.
Your personal growth is the process of responding positively to change.
A precious stone cannot be polished without friction,
nor humanity perfected without trials
I am still listening to the positive affirnations mp3s, though not every night. I was when at mom's. I would fall asleep to it.
I am better, but as I mentioned in other journal entries, it (panic attacks) just hit/s me sometimes and I can't stop the roller coaster; when it's at the top, ready to go over. Know what I mean? Pisses me off.
It's about relaxing more and letting stuff slide, and changing inner dialog. I know this and have done so much work on it. But fear takes over and the what ifs and ocd plays it round in my head. It's frustrating and I know everyone is tired of hearing about it. I have had it since 7 years old....so yea, I am tired of it too. haha......
The psychiatrist wants me to take more Xanax than I am (I try to be brave and strong and not take it very much), to keep an even flow, to try to keep from having the attacks and then with the low dose of the anti-depressant, Lexapro, it should make things lighter and need the Xanax less.
I am starting on a low dose of Lexapro in a few days. They will mail it to me. She wanted me on 10 mgs., and I said, "5 mgs, I'm very sensitive to meds, unless it's Xanax and I'm panicking".
I told her that I am a very spiritual person, but then who knows what is after this life and that I knew I needed to hurry up and get past this shit, so I can get to living, before I pass!". And cried.
I don't have quite the qualms about crying in front of people anymore. A panic attack person's fear is freaking out in front of others and being humiliated. One of their fears, there are many. Not feeling safe in this world is a big one.
I have pondered the SSRI situation a lot in the past few months, and have read tons on it, researched so many of them. There are some scary things going on with many of them. They can be so dangerous if too many mgs.
It boils down to what works for the individual. I have razor blade scars from the last time I took them, so you can understand my apprehension on the matter. But along with everything else, I am going to try this last thing. I hope the side effects are non-existant. Let's hope.....let's hope.
I wonder what all everyone is on here and what they have tried. You just know this community is teeming with SSRI guinea pigs! ;)
I need recent pics taken. I haven't taken them of myself in so long. Nothing dressed for it anyway. Most of my pics now are casual, earthy Jamie, with shorts and cute t-shirts, deck shoes or the like. And in addition to the few pounds I have gained, my shorts bunch up in front and poof out more than I do.
So anyway, I need some more pics..........
Wow, I have NO messages in my box. I went through them all and sent some to my hotmail and deleted the bites. And I am all clean! ;)
It's funny how so many guys have the same stare in their pictures on here. I am looking over the "who's online" page....They want to look so seductive, brooding and intense. How about some creativity? And how about one that is actually flattering?
And why do so many people feel the need to make their profile as dark and negative as possible? It makes it so hard to read them when they do that. It spreads the negativity through the world and that is so not cool. Why are they always focused on the negative? Why can't we just stop, step back a moment and breathe in the air (Breathe.....pink floyd)? Just step back and see how insane it is to keep indulging in the negativity. It's a vicious cycle that is going to take some higher evolved people to take on to break. Take the challenge and love. =)
Sylvia Browne says that the reason we are here.....the reason we leave the other side, which is wonderful and all positive and light, is to learn and to overcome negativity. It's so easy to fall prey to it and to spread it, live it and let it overtake our lives.....but the real challenge is to be positive, and to love life. Really, what is the point of hating it?
That is why I can no longer be here for long periods of time. The heavy shit of darkness that some on here choose to spread zaps the zen and serenity right out of me, and lets in the anxiety. Being an empath, it all hits me hard, and I feel the anger, sadness and depression of these people. I don't like that because I have friends here that I love and miss.
I know I am not the only one that feels this.
I get lots of health emails. Most are of non-mainstream information; the stuff you won't hear about on NBC or shit of the like, generally, until later on.
Not long ago, I got an email about the pet food poisoning and the cheaper ingredients the Chinese were putting in the food to save money, but is killing the animals. This has found it's way to the pigs too, because of poor quality grain. Now many pigs will have to die. =(
The latest now, is called di-ethylene glycol (DEG) - which should not be present in toothpastes of any type, but the Chinese put it in cheaper toothpaste and shipped it out. This alert came out to the world on Friday. You may or may not have heard of it, but I am posting it here just in case. Do not buy any off brand toothpaste from Dollar Store type places, or any toothpaste that is made in China. It's poison. It's what you find in anti-freeze.
FROM THE FDA SITE:
Caution: FDA identifies Chinese brands
The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has identified the following brands of toothpaste from China that contain DEG and are included in the import alert: Cooldent Fluoride; Cooldent Spearmint; Cooldent ICE; Dr. Cool, Everfresh Toothpaste; Superdent Toothpaste; Clean Rite Toothpaste; Oralmax Extreme; Oral Bright Fresh Spearmint Flavor; Bright Max Peppermint Flavor; ShiR Fresh Mint Fluoride Paste; DentaPro; DentaKleen; and DentaKleen Junior.
Here is the whole article:
The new "China Syndrome," part one
You may remember the hit 1979 movie called "The China Syndrome," starring Jane Fonda, Jack Lemmon, and Michael Douglas. It was about cover-ups of safety violations at an American nuclear power plant.
Ironically, the movie was released just days before the real-life partial meltdown at Three Mile Island Nuclear Power Plant near Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. In the film, the phrase "china syndrome" referred not to anything as insidious as faulty Chinese materials the reactor core was built from, but to the facetious notion that, should a "total meltdown" occur, the plant would have burned clear through the Earth to China. (And, actually, the plant responded exactly as programmed and shut down with no injuries at all - but you know Hollywood.) But as usual, I digress...
Today, there's a different deadly threat to the safety of American citizens that really DOES center on China: The flow of tainted foodstuffs and other ingestible products for both animal and people.
Over the last 6 weeks, I've made you aware of the details behind the ongoing scandal involving toxic melamine (a chemical used in fertilizer and in plastics manufacturing) that had been intentionally added to the raw ingredients used in hundreds of varieties of dry pet foods to artificially boost protein readings on government tests.
To recap, these tainted ingredients were imported from Chinese suppliers, and have resulted in not only massive recalling of pet foods (and the death or sickening of tens of thousands of pets) - but also the quarantine and likely destruction of a large number of melamine-contaminated hogs and chickens earmarked for human consumption. Some of these already found their way into the American food marketplace, however...
Now, there's another threat making the news from the Far East: Tainted toothpaste.
According to a recent Associated Press article, the U.S Food an! d Drug A dministration is advising Americans against the use of dentifrices made in China. Apparently, officials are especially concerned about toothpastes sold at "dollar stores" and other bargain retail outlets...
Why? Because someone in the Land of Chow Mien had the bright idea of adding the base ingredient from ANTI-FREEZE to it. Keep reading...

The FDA claims that none of this toxic substance - called di-ethylene glycol (DEG) - should be present in toothpastes of any type. Yet according to sources used for the AP article, some Chinese brands examined have contained as much as 3-4% OF THEIR TOTAL WEIGHT in harmful DEG.
Like I mentioned a second ago, DEG is used as an industrial coolant and anti-overheating agent. It is also present in some varieties of brake and other hydraulic fluids. It's also used as a solvent for many resins, dyes, oils, and even nitrocellulose (explosives)...
Sounds yummy, doesn't it? And in case you're wondering, it isn't even good for teeth - dentifrice makers use it to sweeten and thicken toothpastes.
Di-ethylene glycol is banned by the FDA in foods or drugs in the United States. The agency is especially concerned with about chronic exposure to DEG among children, or among those with Kidney problems.
At the time of this writing, there are no credible estimates of how much DEG-laced Chinese toothpaste has been sold, bought, or used by Americans - or for how long...
And in the next Daily Dose, I'll clue you in to the reasons why this is so scary.

It's been raining so much here. 20 days so far they said. We are over the year's average already, for the entire year.
I found out that my hometown, Independence, Kansas is realllllly flooded! We were all planning on going there for the 4th for fireworks, too. They put on the best show I have ever seen anywhere. Course, I haven't seen Disney World's, so....
Here is the link to their flood pics. I saw a video on youtube and it's worse there. I don't see a way in or out of the town. Also, I am supposed to go to my 20th year high school reunion there this weekend. Ugh, yea......I don't know if I will though or not. I am still trying to get rid of "issues" from snobs and wannabe snobs hurting my feelings. Well, I AM working on it anyway.....ha.....

Also, it's flooded all over Oklahoma and the roads are closed to Bartlesville, where we need to go to get to Mom's. Hmm....
I ate some bad watermelon I think and now my tummy hurts. Damnit. So I ate some mango. Probably didn't help the situation, but it was good. Odd fruit.
Damn, and while I was writing in my journal, I missed Scrubs.
Have you seen the Raisin Crunch commercials? Those are funny. And I love the Sonic commercials where they are talking in the car. We went to Sonic when they had the free root beer float night a few weeks ago and it was INSANE! So many people there, that they ran out of ice cream.....right after we got ours. Whew! They are good. =) Course we had to wait a very long time for them. We ordered 5.
Love it. Love the show. I have been watching it quite a bit in the past few months. For some reason, they keep showing the same reruns, despite the fact that the show has been on for 6/7 seasons. I am missing many.
