Don't cancel holiday plans just yet. The snow is coming but going over the river and through the woods to grandmother's house will be possible -- with the right planning and an eye on the storm.
WCCO meteorologist Chris Shaffer said the snow will start Wednesday evening and it's coming from the south. That means, if you're traveling to the north, you should be fine. However, if you're traveling to the south, you'll be heading straight into the storm.
There is a winter storm warning for Wednesday night that will last until Saturday morning for all of the Twin Cities, basically just giving drivers a heads up that traveling will be very difficult, Shaffer said.
The heaviest snow is expected to fall Thursday, providing an extremely white Christmas Eve. From there, it doesn't show signs of stopping until Saturday. The snow fall will remain pretty consistent throughout Christmas Eve and into Christmas Day.
The wind may cause more problems with gusts heading from the northeast and eventually northwest. Winds could be between 15 and 25 mph, with higher gusts possible.
However, the snowflakes should fall heavy and wet instead of flaky and dry, so blowing snow drifts may not cause as much of a problem for drivers. And wetter snow also means great snowballs for the kids.
It'll still be snowy and windy on Friday, Shaffer said, but a little bit better than Thursday's snowfall. By Saturday, only the flurries will remain.
"At this point, the heaviest snow is expected just west of the Twin Cities where more than a foot could fall," Shaffer said.
Other towns could see a foot and a half, up to 18 inches, by Saturday morning.
Expect mixed precipitation southeast of the cities, keeping accumulation down but still making travel difficult.
If you're traveling to or from Wisconsin, there's a better chance of mixed precipitation, and not as much snow. But it could still cause headaches on the road with sleet or freezing rain.

How hard is it to spell simple words.
In Example or (IE)
u= You
y= why
n= and (i'm assuming that one)
idk= I don't know.
r= are
ish= is (why is there a "h" in the word)
These are really simple words to spell yet the texting world accepts the fact you can shorten them to have more space, but when used in an environment that doesn't require you too what's the point?
Another thing is why can't people use an Apostrophe. You know this ' thing. cant wont didnt
I could understand if your using a mobile device to not type them but I see it constantly even when people aren't on a mobile device.
Point of this thread, spell simple words correctly.

I guess because people are lazy - or trying to be cute. All I can say is they fail!
LOL! My all time favorite is when men send messages such as, "I Luv U' to chicks...and thats not even a text lol. I personally feel that its very impersonal and lazy.
i like using txt talk its alot quicker
Text talk annoys me as well.
I joke around some times and use the word ish rather than is, but other than that I stick to proper spelling and grammar.
Although if you have an entire keyboard in front of you, what the hell is the point of text talk? I get that you want it to be faster- than simply improve your typing skills. I know schools here have a mandatory computer business course that you must pass in order to graduate and they have a certain minimum of words you need to be able a to type a minute. They also offer it to adults.
There is no excuse. :P
I do not use proper punctuation whilst texting as I do not know how to use my phone properly. :D I have attempted to learn.
People shortening words whilst texting doesn't offend me. An "I love u" still has the same sentiment behind it as an "I love you".
I totally agree with you
Another new word
Asstastic

In the lane, snow may be glistening.
It may be a beautiful sight, but it may not make commuters happy Thursday night, driving through a winter wonderland.
According to WCCO meteorologist Mike Augustyniak, early computer models are indicating that a winter storm could bring as much as a foot of snow in parts of Minnesota on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Augustyniak said Monday should see a new dusting in the Twin Cities, with about an inch of snow expected to fall south of the Interstate 94 corridor late Monday evening into early Tuesday.
The remainder of Tuesday is expected to be clear in the Twin Cities, but Wednesday could bring the beginnings of what could potentially become a significant winter storm.
Those driving anywhere in those areas on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are advised to monitor travel conditions and weather forecasts carefully.
Augustyniak said the overall snow totals could be up to a foot, but would be significantly less if the expected precipitation comes in the form of a rain-snow mix.
Both Minnesota and Wisconsin are expected to get at least enough snow to shovel as the storms pulls out Thursday night into Christmas Day, regardless of how much mixing occurs.

I'm a Nerd not a dork....
Definition: Dork
Dork
Noun
1. A dull stupid fatuous person.
2.
Slang
Penis, a stupid person. (references)
Nerd
Nerd is a term often bearing a derogatory connotation or stereotype, that refers to a person who passionately pursues intellectual activities, esoteric knowledge, or other obscure interests that are age-inappropriate rather than engaging in more social or popular activities. Therefore, a nerd is often excluded from physical activity and considered a loner by peers, or will tend to associate with like-minded people.

" a wind chill a day keeps the dominars away" lol
I no longer regret not moving to Minnesota :P
Give me miserable windy and wet... Mild climates suit me. -60? damn! Makes one wonder why people are there at all.
I don't know who my father really is either, Except for the fact after 30 years he tries to make up for lost time. He even goes as fas as to still concider me his little boy. With no effort what so ever to contact me. I made the effort to find him, I made the effort to contact him. Then when I simply ask him to talk to me via email, which is a lot easier for me then using the phone he states he won't .... Another lie.... He then gets on Facebook and finds me there and expects to talk to me there. He's so sadly mistaken...
I try to make an effort to talk to my kids, It doesn't always go well mind you with school. I'm so afraid to turn out just like him. I don't want to be that way. I want to be a good father.

I think that after you finish your schooling you will have a lot more time to spend with your children. Being a child with a father that isn't present, it's better to know that the father is attempting than doing nothing at all. I commend you for trying to be in your children's lives although it is difficult for you. You are a good man for that and it will pay off in the future.
I hope that made the slightest lick of sense.
You are working at making a future for them. A father can be in the same house and not be there. School is temporary.
New word for the season.
Treetastic.

Makes me think of Happy Tree Friends
And an epic word it will always be
It makes me think of the Ents...
So the other day I was pulled over, and the officer gave me a siltation for not having auto insurance. He stated that all I had to do was to get the insurance and show it to the department. So I did that but the lady behind the counter stated that I have to go to court for it. Which means more then likely that I'll have to pay a fine. Which makes no since I though legally you had 30 days to get insurance on a vehicle you just purchased.
Hopefully they will just throw it out with the 30 day supposedly grace period and hearing my side of the story.
