Tried Door Dash in our area for the first time today. That was a fiasco.

We ordered Mexican and were looking forward to it. I was especially hungry. Anyway, they had our address. But we got an email that stated they had been unable to contact us and had left it where the directions had indicated......which was in the parking lot of the fire department.
1. Why would I leave an address to the fire department when it was closed?
2. Why would you leave a bag of ready to eat food in the middle of the parking lot, on the ground?
3. Why would the driver not call Door Dash and ask for them to call us for directions - or something like that?
4. WHO in their right minds would do that? We live in a rural area.....it's not like a big city where people would be close by in the parking lot.

But, the hubby went to check the parking lot - he checked the fire department, the post office which is beside it and even the church parking lot which is nearby. NO FOOD.

So, the questions become, did the driver really deliver it? Did someone see it and go get it and got a free meal?

Regardless, Door Dash at least gave us a refund.

But, we are still hungry........dang it.

The driver may have set it out, took a pic for proof of delivery and then took it with them for dinner! I have had friends that has happened to before. No matter what happened to the missing food... that is super frustrating to say the very least!

Sometimes, when I nap, I dream. Many times I do not remember it. But, yesterday, I dreamed of Mom and family gatherings. I woke up wanting to call her so badly. But there are no phones in the great beyond. So, I did the next best thing and called my Aunt, Mom's baby sister. When I told her about my dream, she said, " That is when you need to pray, she is talking to you." That was a new way to think of having a conversation with those who have passed. Not sure what I think about that.

I met her in junior college and though we did not become close until later in a 4 year college. Bright, funny, hard ass, intelligent, athletic, adventurous, never backed down from a dare, vulnerable only with those she trusted implicitly, and yet very few knew all of her.

Her spiky short orange hair. Forever the same. Never to be touched. Her laughter that was loud and infectious.

So many nights talking and sharing and best of all, creating a bond that would last a lifetime.

I can't believe you are gone. You will forever live in my heart and memories, my friend.

Dragons

Purple, red, blue, green, silver, yellow, gold.
They are all but forgotten, except in stories of old.

I would like to be a dragon rider, high up in the sky.
Above the rain clouds, in the blue darkness of midnight to fly.

Perhaps tonight I will ride the blue dragon in my dream.
Afterwards, to awaken, hungry for chocolate covered strawberry ice cream.

Headache....sneezing....small nose bleed. It must be spring, in Kentucky.

Work is work. Snuggling with our older kitty boi
I sure miss the other two.

I found out today that a friend of mine has metastatic lung cancer.

The older I get, the more people I seem to lose, or are very sick.

Life is not easy or fun all the time. But the moments between of fun, love, laughter, and togetherness make life worthwhile.

Of course, ice cream and dragons make life worthwhile as well.

I cant stand spring... I know it is detrimental to life and all, but dang the allergies! You could maybe try some saline drops in your nose to help the nose bleeds... it could be because it's too dry... just a thought. I do hope you feel better soon.
