Alright VW, V, and Sis Bro..... The Christmas decorating challenge..... has begun. It will take me until after Thanksgiving for sure to finish, but since I am leaving the 22nd and coming back the 27th, I have already started.
Every year I make pumpkin pies, pumpkin bread and sometimes a pumpkin cheesecake from scratch. I have spent the day preparing pie pumpkins to make my pumpkin puree' ( I'm a southern gal, no canned pumpkin here.) Well these 7 pie pumpkins are the hardest pie pumpkins I have ever encountered! I know I am going to feel the pain tomorrow because cutting these little bastards has been one hella ordeal! It's almost 2 a.m. and I am STILL not finished. I have only one left to cut up thankfully but there are still others waiting to be steamed. Why seven pie pumpkins worth of puree' you ask? Well for some stupid reason the grocery industry seems to believe that no one bakes pumpkin pies in November or December for Thanksgiving and Christmas and they stop selling these little pumpkins after Halloween. I have to buy them, and get them all cooked up and then I measure them out into freezer bags based on what that bag will be, label it and deep freeze it so we have pumpkin puree for the rest of this year and then into the next hopefully. These better be the best pumpkin pies I have ever made is all I have to say about it. lol.
I still have so much on my to do list before bed, but I know I will not be able to accomplish it all.
I want to get my Christmas tree and decorations out SO badly, but I have a new curio cabinet (well new to me but way vintage and awesome) to get to my house and since so much moving of things will have to happen, I need to accomplish that first. The other reason is I will have to have help getting th7 and half foot heavy as hell tree out of the storage room in the back of the house.. and don't get me started on the 3 HUGE and heavy bins of the Christmas ornaments and decorations. I know some people are all like, slow down crazy lady, let's eat the damn turkey first... but I personally think that the turkey tastes better when you eat it in the glow of the lit Christmas tree. lol.
For those of you that know about my damn ongoing elbow stuff, I have had my appointment with the orthopedic doctor. I have SEVERE tennis elbow (another reason getting heavy things is not going to be easy). I had a nerve block injection during that appointment (the 7th) and now we will be going for physical therapy as the first steps. The doctor has expressed that the surgery is not great, just ok and doesn't always work so he wishes to leave that as a last resort which makes me happy. OH and I was also happy that no MRI was needed! Hate those damn machines!
Keeping myself busy and sorta isolated while hubs is away at work, BUT I do log in every day unless something keeps me away and am here to help if there is need. If you don't see me, I am likely lurking. I get all sad panda when the hubs is away so it's just my way of not bringing others down with me. That doesn't mean I am unwilling to message and chat with you guys, it just means approach with caution as it may take a strong person to deal with me right now. :)

Love you and deffo want to try that pumpkin cheesecake! Glad that the appointment went well and that there was no MRI. I really hope that the nerve block gives you some relief. That would be a blessing. Also, don't kill yourself moving heavy things. You have a strong boy child for that. :-)
Ha! This boy child can't lift super heavy things but he can help with some for sure! You and I need to hurry up and be all mended! Love ya too! :D
Yes, we do! Then maybe I can come and help you lift some heavy shit. LOL.
LOL! Well I already have the heavy shit done... the hubs will work on the other heavy shit! I would rather you just come hang out! lol

Yep, I don't think I can compete. We are only putting up a small (4.5 foot) tree this year. It is new and I hope we like it. The damned things are so expensive! But with all that has gone on this year, I consider us lucky to be putting up any tree! I'd like to decorate outside, but just don't have the stamina. I am making a wreath for the front door, however. I can't wait to see pictures. I am surprised you are up after your harrowing weekend of stuffing-fest. :-)
