8 Common Herbs

13:28 Jun 20 2009
Times Read: 643

Dr. Mao just released an article about 8 common herbs that have healing properties. I have used these herbs in various tinctures, tea's and other areas. They do help with certain aliments. As always though with anything make sure that you check to see if you are allergic to them or if they are good for your body. We all know that what is good for one might not be good for another. Check out the link below

time for more harvesting lol

Well today was a day for the big garden out back. Finally got the tomatoes stood back up and fence around them so that the chickens stay out of them. Had to pull bush cucumbers, burpless pickles, banana peppers, and radishes today. Also pulled some green tomatoes so that I can fry them up for my father and hubby. :)

Tomorrow, will be grinding up the herbs that was harvested last week. I will so enjoy the peppermint when I can make a hot tea out of it. oh if anyof you like omlets and have some Rosemary around add it to your omlet note that just a very small pinch will do. My sons really enjoy it in their omlets.

Around the end of February beginning of march we had some snow come in unfortunately it killed my 5 year old Rosemary bush. What was left that we could salvage we are grinding it up and putting it into containers for seasoning.

The day before yesterday the Chocolate Mint, Peppermint, Oregano, and remaining Rosemary was harvested. Boy I can't wait to get some fresh peppermint tea.
