I quit my job a couple of days ago due to health issues. It was a great job and they loved me- but I started a new medication that instantly proved I wouldn't be able to continue the detailed work I was doing. Next step... SSDI (as well as continued work on raising my VA disability percentage).
I posted about this on Facebook and got several comments about how difficult it is to disability, and that's the last thing I need to hear. I actually think it's harder to get it when it's physical, not mental. And I have a great doctor who's told me this isn't her "first rodeo" with this, so I am going to try and focus on the positive. There are plenty of people who don't have to wait years or a crazy amount of months to get it done.
In the meantime, I have more freedom during the day to get back to exercise. I was in a dangerous place. I've found the right cocktail of meds for me now. It's taken away my ability to properly do certain things- but I don't have to do those things anymore.
I can be back here on a regular basis again.

It's positive to know you found something that works for you.
Many positive things in life also come with a sacrifice that needs to be made as well.
Just keep taking it one day at a time with this new reality.
