God I love having SSL encryption at Vampire Rave.
I've wanted this for a long time, but it was a nightmare to implement on the old server. But now it's here.
What many current VR members fail to take into account, is that the VR updates were aimed at two things:
• Mobile users
• New users
If you're an old user and access VR only from a big desktop display, you have little or no empathy for the 2 above mentioned groups.
Here's a journal post by a member who signed up after VR 2.0 went live:

That's success. Ease of use for new users.
How many of you have forgotten how lost you were went you first came to VR 5 or 10 years ago? The 100 links up and down the right and left columns. You didn't know where anything was or what you were doing.

I managed to change the way mine looks back to the classic version. Only thing that is "different" for me now is the covens and forums. It'll just take time to get used to.
I'm old and set in my ways (having been here for 10 years myself). But after playing around with everything for a day,I have to say that I love it. I'm using the classic red layout again right now as I get used to the rest of it,but overall it does make things easier.
Yes, its different. But like anything else new, takes time to get used to. I did get on here via A mobile phone the other day, and found it was easier to deal with this site via the cell phone.
I access VR primarily from my phone, so the updates were something I was looking forward to since you first announced it all. The site if far easier to use, and doesn't tend to mess up while loading, as the old site did. I haven't once reverted back to the ass in layout, even when on a computer. I suppose I got used to it in the beta phase, where I don't feel the need to fall back on an outdated layout.
I for one am thankful for the updates. It may not be something everyone can appreciate, but as a mobile users, I most definitely do. Hopefully with some time and playing around, people can actually come around and get used to the changes.
Wow... Autocorrect nightmare.
*CLASSIC LAYOUT
I do apologize for that little spelling error there.
Cancer is more than right, we were all pretty much LOST.
Because of work I do a lot of accessing my accounts from my phone or tablet so I can appreciate the changes to the site honestly.
Ok, at first I was like... not sure I like this 2.0. Then I spend a day on VR, I am using the old look, and wow, I get it. Even using the old format it is so much easier to go though VR. Well done Cancer. Well done.
