I had a pretty amazing night last night. It was one of those nights where nothing was in stone and I just kind of floated around.
First I hit an art gallery/wine bar and saw a local show. Sang.Rael was playing, I'm friends with two of the members.
I got to hang out with Joi of GotBlack.com for a while. I like running into him because he's one of the few people in Phoenix I can talk shop with. But something even stranger happened. Last night was the first time I really got to talk to his wife. It turns out we're from the same small (very small) town in Michigan. I didn't know her in school, she was a freshman when I was a senior. It's the first time I've ever met someone here in Arizona that is from my home town.
Later on in the evening I floated over to another bar where another whole set of friends were hanging out... Singing karaoke. Goths singing karaoke is.. both fun and disturbing.
I got to hang out with Ms. Mk... I love being around her. I think we're going to hang out again later this week..
It was another late night. I got home around 2:30am.
Over the past month I have slowed down a lot. I dropped the double major, I cut back on my studies (Now I'm basically just doing what is necessary to get by). I've relaxed my work duties. I'm only going out one or two nights a week.
The only thing I haven't cut back is my gym time.
Despite all the schedule changes, I'm feeling very tired lately. Not tired in the actual sense, but there is a definite decrease in motivation.
I had lunch with a friend today, and she told me something I hadn't considered. She said, "Sometimes we don't realize how tired we are until we stop for a moment."
