Think of me
From the beginning of the aria then, mam'selle.
Think of me
think of me fondly,
when we've said goodbye.
Remember me
once in a while -
please promise me
you'll try.
When you find
that, once
again, you long
to take your heart back
and be free -
if you
ever find
a moment,
spare a thought
for me
We never said
our love
was evergreen,
or as unchanging
as the sea -
but if
you can still
remember
stop and think
of me . . .
Think of all the things
we've shared and seen -
don't think about the things
which might have been . . .
Think of me,
think of me waking,
silent and
resigned.
Imagine me,
trying too hard
to put you
from my mind.
Recall those days
look back
on all those times,
think of the things
we'll never do -
there will
never be
a day, when
I won't think
of you . .
We never said
our love
was evergreen,
or as unchanging
as the sea -
but please
promise me,
that sometimes
you will think
of me
The Phantom of the Opera
In sleep he sang to me
In dreams he came
That voice which calls to me
And speaks my name
And do I dream again?
For now I find
The phantom of the opera is there,
Inside my mind
Sing once again with me
Our strange duet
My power over you
Grows stronger yet
And though you turn from me
to glance behind
The phantom of the opera is there
Inside your mind
Those who have seen your face
Draw back in fear
I am the mask you wear
It's me they hear
My/Your spirit and my/your voice
In one combined
The phantom of the opera is there
inside my/your mind
Is that the phantom of the opera?
Beware the phantom of the opera
In all your fantasies you always knew
That man and mystery
Were both in you
And in this labrinth
Where night is blind
The Phantom of the opera is here/there
Inside my mind
Sing, my Angel of Music!
He's there,
the Phantom of the Opera . . . . .
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
La niut, dans mon sommeil,
Se glisse un homme.
Sa voix éclate en moi,
Sa voix me somme.
Serait-ce un rêve encore,
Mais cette fois.
Je sais que le Fantôme de l'Opéra
Est là, en moi.
Ce soir, la Scène est mise
Nos chants se mêlent.
Ma main, me mots, ma voix,
Je t'ensorcelle.
Et si ton doux regard
Se perd parfois,
Tu sais que le Fantôme de l'Opéra
Est là, en toi.
Ceux qui vous voient en face
Sont pris d'effroi.
Je suis un masque pour vous
Je suis ta voix.
Votre esprit et mon chant
Mon esprit et ton chant
S'envolent ou ploient.
Je sais que le Fantôme de l'Opéra
Tu sais que le Fantôme de l'Opéra
Est là, en moi.
Est lâ, en toi.
C'est lui, c'est le Fantôme de l'Opéra!
Le Point de Non-retour
Ne font vibrer son âme qu'amour et joie
Ne priment dan son coeur
Que de beaux rêves.
Maître?
Passarino,
Laisse-moi,
Car mon piège est prêt
Et n'attend que sa proie.
Tu es ici
Là où tout est folie desens
Là où bien des brebis
Sur l'autel s'offrent sans lutte,
Sans lutte
Tu ma suivi
pour m'offrir d'impossibles danses.
En toi-même déjà tu
Succombes à moi.
Sans résister,
Tu te livres et succombes à moi.
Ta volonté faiblit.
Ton corps se tend,
Tu te me donnes,
Te donne.
Passe le point de non-retour
Nos mais se cherchent.
Le grand moment arrive:
En fin l'étreinte!
Passe les liens du coeur, du sang.
Pourquoi te battre?
Abandonne aux
Excès l'ultime enceinte . . .
Vers quel enfer affluerons-nous?
Par viendrons-nous jus q'à sa porte?
Quel grand brasier est là
Pour nous seuls . . . ?
Passe le point de non-retour.
Plus rien à craindre,
Les sens triomphent et le coeur
Reste sourd
Au bord du point de non
Retour . . .
Nous avons dit
Tous les mots respectueux des lois.
Tous ce mots,
Bien appris, chassons-les
Dans la nuit noire,
Nuit noire . . .
Je suis ici,
Sans savoir tout à fait pourquoi.
En moi-même, déjà
J'imagine
Tes mains sur ma peau
Je te cèderai sans lutte,
Je n'ai plus peur du tout.
Mon corp se tend,
Je me donne,
Me donne . . .
Passe le point de non-retour
Non, n'hésitons plus
Qu'éclate enfin ce drame de la passion
Passe l'idée du bien, du mal.
Il faut que l'heure sonne!
Va-t-on- jouer dès ce soir
A l'unisson?
Quand donc la fleur s'offrira-t-elle?
Le sang va-t-il bientôt rugir?
Déjà je sens les flammes
Sur moi . . .
Passe le point de non-retour,
Plus rien à craindre.
L'enfer battra
Pour nous de ses tambours
Après le point de non
Retour . . .
Sache longtemps
Me dire
Combien
Tu m'aimes.
Prends ma main,
Fugons la solitude . . .
Si tu m'aimes, alors
La vie
M'enchante . . .
Etre aimé de toi
Est mon cadeau!
Christime,
C'est tout ce qu'il me . . .
The Sound of Music
Maria on the hills
The hills are alive with the sound of music
With songs they have sung for a thousand years
The hills fill my heart with the sound of music
My heart wants to sing every song it hears
My heart wants to beat like the wings of the birds
that rise from the lake to the trees
My heart wants to sigh like a chime that flies
from a church on a breeze
To laugh like a brook when it trips and falls over
stones on its way
To sing through the night like a lark who is learning to pray
I go to the hills when my heart is lonely
I know I will hear what I've heard before
My heart will be blessed with the sound of music
And I'll sing once more
The Thunder Night
Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favorite things
Cream colored ponies and crisp apple streudels
Doorbells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles
Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings
These are a few of my favorite things
Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes
Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes
Silver white winters that melt into springs
These are a few of my favorite things
When the dog bites
When the bee stings
When I'm feeling sad
I simply remember my favorite things
And then I don't feel so bad
Do-Re-Mi
Let's start at the very beginning
A very good place to start
When you read you begin with A-B-C
When you sing you begin with do-re-mi
Do-re-mi, do-re-mi
The first three notes just happen to be
Do-re-mi, do-re-mi
Do-re-mi-fa-so-la-ti
Let's see if I can make it easy
Doe, a deer, a female deer
Ray, a drop of golden sun
Me, a name I call myself
Far, a long, long way to run
Sew, a needle pulling thread
La, a note to follow Sew
Tea, a drink with jam and bread
That will bring us back to Do (oh-oh-oh)
Doe, a deer, a female deer
Ray, a drop of golden sun
Me, a name I call myself
Far, a long, long way to run
Sew, a needle pulling thread
La, a note to follow Sew
Tea, a drink with jam and bread
That will bring us back to Do (oh-oh-oh)
Doe, a deer, a female deer
Ray, a drop of golden sun
Me, a name I call myself
Far, a long, long way to run
Sew, a needle pulling thread
La, a note to follow Sew
Tea, a drink with jam and bread
That will bring us back to Do (oh-oh-oh)
Do-re-mi-fa-so-la-ti-do
So-do!
Now children, do-re-mi-fa-so and so on
are only the tools we use to build a song.
Once you have these notes in your heads,
you can sing a million different tunes by mixing them up.
Like this.
So Do La Fa Mi Do Re
Can you do that?
So Do La Fa Mi Do Re
So Do La Ti Do Re Do
So Do La Ti Do Re Do
Now, put it all together.
So Do La Fa Mi Do Re, So Do La Ti Do Re Do
Good!
But it doesn't mean anything.
So we put in words. One word for every note. Like this.
When you know the notes to sing
You can sing most anything
Together!
When you know the notes to sing
You can sing most anything
Doe, a deer, a female deer
Ray, a drop of golden sun
Me, a name I call myself
Far, a long, long way to run
Sew, a needle pulling thread
La, a note to follow Sew
Tea, a drink with jam and bread
That will bring us back to Do
Do Re Mi Fa So La Ti Do
Do Ti La So Fa Mi Re
Do Mi Mi
Mi So So
Re Fa Fa
La Ti Ti
Do Re Mi Fa So La Ti Do
Do Ti La So Fa Mi Re
Do Re Mi Fa So La Ti Do
Do Ti La So Fa Mi Re
Do Re Mi Fa So La Ti Do
Do Ti La So Fa Mi Re
Do Re Mi Fa So La Ti Do
Do Ti La So Fa Mi Re
When you know the notes to sing
You can sing most anything
Doe, a deer, a female deer
Ray, a drop of golden sun
Me, a name I call myself
Far, a long, long way to run
Sew, a needle pulling thread
La, a note to follow Sew
Tea, a drink with jam and bread
That will bring us back to
Do . . . So Do
Re . . . La Fa
Mi . . . Mi Do
Fa . . . Re
So . . . So Do
La . . . La Fa
Ti . . . La So Fa Mi Re
Ti Do - oh - oh Ti Do -- So Do
Captain Sings
Edelweiss, Edelweiss
Every morning you greet me
Small and white, clean and bright
You look happy to meet me
Blossom of snow may you bloom and grow
Bloom and grow forever
Edelweiss, Edelweiss
Bless my homeland forever
Good Bye! (Children Dinner Party)
There's a sad sort of clanging from the clock in the hall
And the bells in the steeple too
And up in the nursery an absurd little bird
Is popping out to say "cuckoo"
Cuckoo, cuckoo
Regretfully they tell us Cuckoo, cuckoo
But firmly they compel us Cuckoo, cuckoo
To say goodbye . . .
Cuckoo!
. . . to you
So long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, good night
I hate to go and leave this pretty sight
So long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, adieu
Adieu, adieu, to yieu and yieu and yieu
So long, farewell, au revoir, auf wiedersehen
I'd like to stay and taste my first champagne
So long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, goodbye
I leave and heave a sigh and say goodbye -- Goodbye!
I'm glad to go, I cannot tell a lie
I flit, I float, I fleetly flee, I fly
The sun has gone to bed and so must I
So long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, goodbye
Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye
Goodbye!
