The great Rodgers and Hammerstein struck again today as my daughter and I watched The King and I, we happily sung along to ‘I whistle a happy tune’ and she actually wasn’t embarrassed by my off key rendition although I did notice her left eye-brow being raised which always tells me she’s displeased at something.
True to fashion as we head toward April and the April showers (that have already been forecast) I hear the moans and groans already starting, these people need to live in Japan for a spell … they’d come back here and ‘dance’ in the rain.
The clocks ‘spring’ forward tonight as we head towards summer.
It’s been a great week here but the weather has become cooler again with frost and lots more cold snaps forecast.
I’m seeing daffodils by the side of roads and in peoples gardens which is always a good sign but these early annual flowers will soon wither giving way to the strong blossoms that will be right behind them, nature is wonderful and the cycle begins again.

Our trees are blooming now and the Wisteria too.:D Yayyyy
It's super to get through the gloom and darkness of winter again!
I have snow drops.
What a glorious day, if this is how spring is going to pan out I won’t be complaining. Reading and hearing the news about the death of Liz Taylor was sad, she will always come into that category as one of the greats.
The mixture of the good weather and loss of a great film star left me melancholy and I found myself humming this song pretty much all day long.
''Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter.''

I think Elizabeth Taylor died too young... all the best ones do. Her contribution to the world of art leaves an untouchable tribute to her life's work.
Yes, it was wonderfully sunny here today also, I felt like mitching but but but *stomps foot*
Agreed, Liz died too young and will be greatly missed. She certainly left her mark in the world.
I love this song it is a great song for this time of year. xoxo
Wicked song and yes it is sad about Liz Taylor, I used to have a crush on her!
Who needs Freeview? Seriously thou, with a hundred channels of crap and just a handful that I’d even consider watching, is it really worth polluting an evening with this stuff. I’ve said it before that I don’t do much TV (except films) but every now and again I’d like the choice.
The shows that did gain my attention are now all off air for at least another season. The ones in question that I will now miss are The Vampire Diaries which I started to yawn to towards the end of the series. Chuck, just because I like humour and it’s a great stress reliever. Warehouse 13, again it’s light hearted fun. Dr Who and now Being Human. These are now all off air unless you want to catch the re-runs. I need to find a new book.
Roll on summer

Thats exactly why I want a big screen becuase when there is something worthy on to watch.. I want to see it and enjoy it. So much crap on telly, and I aint a soap fan at all!
The Event is quite good and the Outcasts is also good...
So they fart in North Africa or the Middle East and the news broadcasts that by this summer the price of petrol could hit the £2.00 a litre mark. Scare mongering or what? Yes I know there are reserves that could kick in and yes I know how the economy works but I have seen governments fall for less!
Since we know all this, why do we leave ourselves in the hands of an eastern market that is so unstable, vulnerable and volatile?
Is the answer really all out war as I can’t really see a simple solution to this problem?

Did you write fart...hmm lol
I don't think it is scare scaremongering as now fuel is over £6 pounds a gallon..Perhaps there will be another war very soon...
The way it is going at the moment we will be going back to the horse and cart!
I say get get rid of the need of them. Lets be inventive, and let the government support other and greener means of fuel. We won't be around forever, but we have to save the planet for future generations. I might join greenpeace!
But our government has been so kind to knock a penny off! Strange how most of our local stations put their prices up a penny last week... And when NATO are struggling to find any answers, I (Sorry, what was the question again?)

Got the rain here now... at least it isn't radioactive, though it is strangely warm.
