I guess this is a special topic, lol. You know at my age now after so many experiences I forget things...you think...hahaha.
Everyone experiences this. When I was around 15 or 16 I had a big crush on a British rock star. I thought he was gorgeous and had his picture from a magazine on my closet door. I saw him in a movie called Summer Holiday. I never forgot him but he sort of slid into the shadows over time because I never heard anything about him. A couple times I have looked him up on here but at first I simply couldn't remember his name. What I wonder is why such an icon of British music is rarely mentioned in the US. Was it because he got involved with Christian music somewhat, I don't think so. He has a very mellow lyrical voice and always has but he is so very talented. He has remained youthful looking all through his life and now at age 70 I cannot believe how well he looks...have to say it, lol..."for his age." He will be 71 at the end of October. He has had hit after hit record over the years. He has even been knighted. Why isn't he more of a household name in the US I wonder. Everyone knows of Elton John but why not Cliff Richard? Why isn't he acknowledged in the United States I am wondering?
Ok, ok he wasn't always this old. Below this one is a video from 1976. I am putting up another one of him singing with Sarah Brightman doing a song from Phantom of the Opera.
