I got a poem today through the post;

real post, snail-mail and as I read it,

I wept. I’d cried tears of real genuine

pleasure, for her words touched me,

as she thanked me, for listening:

which had been easy to do, for given

the chance with her I’d spend my

time of leisure…

‘Twas sunny and as I stood an waited

‘neath the overhanging boughs of the

trees on the embankment I stared back

at my fellow passengers.



Short shorts were the order of the day

it seemed, and a shirt worn over a

dark tee-shirt, covering apple-sized

breasts. An there was leg, lots of leg;

worn with ankle boots.



An irrespective of hair colour, the one

thing these little ones had in common

was the absurdly large fringe, that had

to be constantly swept away from their

black coated eyes, so that they could

see the keys of phone they were playing

with…



Individuals all, they all looked so alike...

.. definitely, 'of interest'.
