Wiccan Theory of Creation
This is only one theory. There are probably as many theories as there are Wiccans. This just happens to be the one I like the best.
Before there was time, there was The One. All were created from The One, and from all was The One created. In the vast emptiness of the universe, space began to move.
The One was split into Two forms, equal in energy, but opposite in form. One became The Goddess and the other, The God. The Goddess and God were thankful for their creation, but were lonely, for they lived only in the dark emptiness of space.
So they pulled together their energy, and turned it into gases and then turned these gases into planets, suns, and moons. They were so happy with their creation that they rejoiced and were merry and were unified.
From that union, came all life, and humans were created to be one upon the earth to achieve incarnation. The Goddess and God watched over their creation and decided to each take a position, where they could each watch over all sides of the earth, day and night.
The Goddess surrounded the moon, and The God surrounded the Sun. They took these symbols to watch over the life they had created, and so that humans would be reminded of Them.
All enter the circle of life. We are born, we live, we die, and are born again. All throughout the energies of the earth, under the Sun and the Moon, we are the circle of life.
The Circle is Open yet Unbroken. We all come from The One, and to The One shall return.
