The reason I think this has happened is We dont see many people that hold a spot on this site in here... I have seen multiplies that go on and on but nothing is done about it... But it gets up post and some that dont have a PM if they start one they cant close it if they see that their was one made before theirs... So in all honesty you cant just blame them if they make it and someone happens to slip the thread in right before them... just a thought.

I don't believe Images is referring to multiple threads, or repeat threads, or whatever. She's referring to these threads in which people repeatedly post the same word one after the other. Without any deviation from previous posts, without any rules or guidelines...without there being a game at all. Sure the sandbox exists as a place for 'everything else', but, 'everything else' should require some thought.

I happen to like the one word post. It helps people get there post up and its quick and easy

True... The new threads are fun and all and not to hard to think of things but the way it sounded it was talkin about the starting of duplicate threads and Yes i have seen them and I have done it but had to RIP the thread because someone jumped in and made the thread before I got to it...

No one is biting anyone's head off here.

Spamming is the repeating of the same thing over and over.

It makes more sense to have some sort of thought go into a thread even it's just the A-Z threads than to just mindlessly repeat a single word over and over.

The posts hardly add anything to your score any way, so make it worth the effort at least. :)

Ye the sandbox is a place to have fun... No need to get to uptight about things

Although I did find it a bit pointless, and lets be honest boring, they were helpful in the fact that it helped you get your posts up rather quickly.

At least now we will have a more interactive sandbox, which makes posting a bit more fun and less of a chore.

these kind of threads might have seem funny in the past, but it gets a bit boring and redundant seeing it pop up again and again. if people want a thread where you can post just one word, then at least put some purpose and reasoning behind it.

Yea and there still are some were its just one word... But atleast you have to think atleast alil in those threads

Images and all the dominars are right the a-z forums should have some thougt behind and give other people a chance to post on the a-z and other forums like that . And if i had post multiples times and without no though im sorry for doing that and at the time i didnt think about it. But now i realize its starting to become a big thing now

Honestly I found the repeated word posts dull and tried to post pics or something if I was going to spend time in the main forum. But as with anything else, my feelings are to live and let live. If you don't like it, don't read or post in it. Just sayin...

Rules are rules. And if you dont like it, then why are you still here? threads are allowed to be open, but honesty those that require you to place only one word is a bit weak in the individual's effort in making a thread. its up to you if u want to open a thread for one words only. VR is still VR in the end and the threads in the sandbox are still made for fun.

Altho I think the idea of banning one word threads is probably a good thing what I do not agree with is just up & changing the rules whenever. I mean if an actual rule is changed or a certain action banned it should ALWAYS be updated in the actual VR RULES.... that way the offense can actually be pointed out to the offender

Imagesinwords, as the site Regent, is informing members of the change. The Forum grows, changes, so shall what is allowed and not allowed. Go with the flow folks, always makes it more fun.

As far as changing the rules- if you look at the VR Manual you will read.

I respect and understand the reasoning given for this type of thread not being allowed anymore. We've been seeing the negative end of the Forum Posting bonus- on a site I used to be on it's referred to as post-whoring, one word or close to that posted in order to add to the member's post count. We're all much more intelligent on that, or at least I believe that but the point is simple: This shouldn't repulse people from the forums, instead I would recommend more intelligent posting- besides things political I'm sure we have intelligent conversations we can have in the forums- and YES there are better game threads that could be started.

It's not hard to make thoughtful posts; I leveled up mostly by posting in the main forum!

But original thought and effort aren't why i'm here.... *goes trolling*

You can complain about it in your journals if you want to ;) I deleted a bunch of posts just now in regards to it.

In my opinion... I don't know what all the uproar is about. just because there is a post about something, you don't have to respond to the post. That is all up to you. So what if there are threads that have things like this...(i.e one word, a-z...) and they are repeating. Don't respond to them. Bypass them, make a new thread. Whatever. Whatever the rules are about what can be done, then that's what has to be set. It's nice to see these anyway, just as for fun. But as i said... this is my opinion on this.. you can like it or not.

Ok peeps.... this is taken from the manual. Think it pretty much says it all and omits any further need for complaint on the subject.

Administrators follow a set of content guidelines regarding Forum posts. Reasons for post deletion may include (but are not limited to):
# Posts of a political nature
# Posts that ridicule the philosophical tenants of any religion
# Rude, obnoxious, hate, or flame posts
# Overly sexual posts
# Threads that do not fit the theme of Vampire Rave or the Dark Network.
# Replies to threads that are not on-topic
# Duplicate posts
# Silly, nonsensical, or ridiculous posts. This includes posts that contain nothing but "I agree" or "I'll check it out"
Posting restrictions in section 5 (The Sandbox) are the most lax. However, the guidelines posted on this page are not to be broken anywhere within the Forum.

Vampire Rave has high posting standards. If your thread or post is closed or deleted, you should learn from the experience and construct better posts in the future. Nagging Dominars or Administrators about your threads/replies getting closed/deleted is a good way to get suspended. Be respectful toward those that donate their time in service of Vampire Rave.

if that is true then a lot of the threads should be deleted, 4 of those "rules" mentioned have been violated multiple times however its only used as a general guideline and not an enforced rule...unless it annoys admins in which case they take action.

what becomes problematic is when one gets to the Sandbox, and one has to weed through all the lame threads to find the threads that provide entertainment. I welcome the restriction personally

No, what's ridiculous are these threads we have to close. If this kind of thing is allowed in your coven or mentorship- have at it.

Cancer is well aware and these threads were brought to his attention. This is the decision he made.

I thought the Sandbox threads were for fun and i can say a lot of the threads i have been in have been fun. If i had wanted long and lengthy threads i would go to the "General Discussion"box, just my opinion.

It's not about being long and lengthy- *Look* at the threads I am talking about. Posting A,B,C,D,E,F.... that's not even 'fun'. 1,2,3,4,5,6, is not 'fun'. Neither is everyone posting the same word over and over (hugs, hugs, hugs, hugs, hugs -or even- lurking, lurking, lurking, lurking, lurking...)- it isn't fun: it's about post count.

It's beyond ridiculous to think these are harsh standards. The Sandbox is for threads that don't fit in the above sections- that's the way it is explained in the manual.


All that needs to be said, has been... And since this keeps turning into a complaining fest- this thread will no longer be open for posts.

The rule is not against the fun of the sandbox threads, it's against posting nonsense to get post count, it seems the message is not being taken.
