If you knew the exact day and time you were going to die, would you live your life differently?
If this was in our genetic makeup from birth would we strive to reach our potential and be better people or not bother at all?
Would we spend our living life searching for ways to get over this inherent trait? Would we look to science and the supernatural for the answers or just succumb to the inevitable?
If you knew the exact day and time you were going to die, would you live your life differently?
Probably not. I like my life just as it is.
If this was in our genetic makeup from birth would we strive to reach our potential and be better people or not bother at all?
I am sure that most would try to be the best people they can be and reach their total potential. I would probably not be concerned with this at all.
Would we spend our living life searching for ways to get over this inherent trait?
I am sure it would be something most people would want to change. No, not I.
Would we look to science and the supernatural for the answers or just succumb to the inevitable?
I already have my answers either way.
Due to quantum mechanics, one alters the date by "seeing" or exposing that date...therefore, no comment.
Nostradamus apparently knew his dates but he was smart enough to keep it to himself whilst he lived, less the times be altered....less...
If i knew the exact time and day i was going to die i wouldn't change a single thing . Because even if you try and change your destiny somewhere along the line you would cross your fate . Even in trying to avoid it you may make it . If it's pre destined then there's no escaping it . So i would just go full throttle into it , with no concern of the consequence's of my actions . Avoiding it would be futile .
would never change the day I am gonna die. I am ready for the next adventure.
If you knew the exact day and time you were going to die, would you live your life differently?
Yes of course I would.
If this was in our genetic makeup from birth would we strive to reach our potential and be better people or not bother at all?
I believe that the majority of people would live there life to the full and be happy.
Would we spend our living life searching for ways to get over this inherent trait? Would we look to science and the supernatural for the answers or just succumb to the inevitable?
I would look for answers..lol and no way would I succumb to the inevitable because I would fight every dam stretch of the way! *chuckles*
These are all very good questions, I would personally live my life to the fullest and make every day a good one and surround myself with positivity. Also I would try my hardest to set a goal and achieve it before my time were to end.
But shouldn't we all do that anyway weather or not we know when our lives will end?
BaileyD~
For me you are asking that crucial important question in...
''shouldn't we all do that anyway whether or not we know when our lives will end?''
You have nailed what I was getting at with that question. Are we now challenging human nature?
It is obvious that for some it's in their make-up to be bad or evil regardless of the consequences!
Would I live my life differently? Yes to say anything else is a lie, personally though I would probably be a lot more reckless.
The consequences are often unclear " even the wisest cannot foresee the outcome of all events"
...we shall see...a quote from the film Charlie Wilsons War...if you haven't seen it I highly recommend it.
Particularly the bit in this documentary that mentions the Cia consulting a Pennsylvanian witch...how odd, for a reconstruction of actual events...smirks.
my true belief is to live each day as if it were my last.
I live as if I could die at any moment. Never taking any thing for granted, yet respectful and honest.
if i knew when i was going ot die the only thing different i would do is tell ppl i love that i love them :) and i would look to the supernatural
I think most people would be scared and want their family around or leave thinking their love ones wouldn't have to suffer providing they knew. In all honesty I don't think I could answer that question unless it was actually happening to me.
It sort of reminds me of the movie In Time where they are born and given so much time but everything in their lives deals with time and some are driven to criminal acts to get more time to live indefinitely. If they run out it is the end.
I think I might also turn to the supernatural myself. Call Dannion Brinkley for my hospice care.
Would I change my life? He'll no I am what I am and that wont change
If it we're in our genetic make up.........etc. Yes I believe I might but I'd work to reach it any way because that's just what I'd do.
I would spend more time with my family and friends. As for the rest of it I wouldn't change anything else.
i am dying..the answer is yes i live my life for happiness ..new adventures..to see and do as much as i can because my days are numbered...and as days go bye and you get sicker.....it drives me keeps me goin along and then there is my Sir..Drago1973..if it wasnt for him id be dead rt now..literally..these things and love keep me going keep me pushing myself.....jewlz
New thought!!!!!!!! Attachments push me not to die or give up even when life sucks. Also being what I am wont allow me to let go because it would be unhonorable and shameful.
Simply put, no.
I live as choose to within the constraints of a 'decent society'... to do more, I would be less.
This is not about ‘changing your life’.
You were dealt a hand and you have to stick with it but knowing when you are to die, the exact date, I’m asking if you would play your hand differently?!
If you knew you were going to die, and when then perhaps. For some though it might not matter. Some people will follow their path even with the recognition of results and consequences stacked against them.
If you knew the exact day and time you were going to die, would you live your life differently?
''Nope,Why do that when it's a sighn of fear about
death?! I don't like the way my life is,and if death can
cut it short of me,then it's ok. can't change much
anyways, due to no money.''
If this was in our genetic makeup from birth would we strive to reach our potential and be better people or not bother at all?
''Some rather not bother at all, some really want to.
It seem that the worlds people population, is at a
50-50% stand still.''
Would we spend our living life searching for ways to get over this inherent trait?
''People struggle with alot of things, everyone does..
to learn, search, and find out if there is any way to
become more then theire is seen.''
Would we look to science and the supernatural for the answers or just succumb to the inevitable?
''Like I said .. 50-50. Half the populations don't care or
want to bother with such things, the other half feels
as if they NEED to.. or feel like it's their exsistance TO
find and answer.''
i wouldnt change a thing because humans arnt worth trying.i would spend more quality time with my family
When I first found out that I had a brain tumor. I'm looking on the internet and seeing 6-12 survival. Gets you thinking then. Now, it's been 11 months and I'm positive that I will be around for at least 10-20 years.
I loathe questions like this, mostly because i can't resist the urge to answer, them but i'd hate to live in such a world, but i don't believe i could do much different, WOAH just thought of something, what would be the point in life insurance anymore?
I think society would start classifying people by their expiration datesure would reck havok on the insurance biz though.
One thing I would say is the concept of foresight needs to be addressed very very carefully.
As a person you are not an isolated temporal event, rather a thread in a tapestry pulling one affects the rest.
So even if you could predict the exact moment of your death A: you would have to consider all of the potentialities that would occur as a result of changing the time line. (Chaos theory and all that.)
But B: Do you consider death that frightening that you would want to change your life, this could simply be one existence one form. Who knows what death holds.
But yes just something to consider i suppose, so that being said i dont regret any part of my life. Not to say that i wouldnt like or have liked some parts to be different; you do what you can with what you have in the context you have it.
^__^
The only thing I could see doing different is perhaps planning on the day I was going to die. Such things as being prepared with what I wanted my funeral to be and what I wanted to be wearing. Things such as that. Giving away all of my possesions before the last day.
All stuff that can and should be taken care of by all of us now, letting our family know our final wishes.
why fight destiny? if its ment to be its ment to be...just enjoy it as much as possible and hope for the best.
Wow.....a scientific will predict the day that you will die, but, only if you adhere to the condition of staying in one specific place and don't put yourself into others harms that can end your existence, per example: Food poisoning, (happen everyday), Drunk Driver, gang initiation and you are the pick of the day, electrocution, by taking a bubble bath while reading with a light closed by....so, yes, to know the day that I will die will be interesting, because I will have time to prepare myself to the unknown Journey into another plane.
If I knew the exact moment I was going to die, life wouldn't be very exciting.
Meandreams: What do you mean life wouldn't be exciting? I am assuming by this question it was meant that you could do anything and it was already predetermined when you were going to die. So, Hell yes, I would be bungee jumping, sky diving, basically anything I wanted to do and know that I wasn't going to have a freak accident before said date. Holy crap, my life would be way too exciting!
If you knew the exact day and time you were going to die, would you live your life differently?
- No i do not think my life would be any different than how it is now. I try to live life to the fullest and enjoy it as much as i can day to day.
If this was in our genetic makeup from birth would we strive to reach our potential and be better people or not bother at all?
- I would do my best to strive and be a better person. If i have the potential why not do what i could to use it to my advantage?
Would we spend our living life searching for ways to get over this inherent trait?
-No. If it is in my cards to die then why try to change what i cannot? I want my life to be as it should without trying to hang onto something that I do not want to endure. I want to live life until it runs out. I do not want to die to live and live forever.
Would we look to science and the supernatural for the answers or just succumb to the inevitable?
- I would succumb to the inevitable. Why fight it when i don't feel the need to?
If you knew the exact day and time you were going to die, would you live your life differently?
*Yes and no. Some things in life i would enjoy more such as spending more time with family and friends. Other parts of my life i would keep like it is
If this was in our genetic makeup from birth would we strive to reach our potential and be better people or not bother at all?
* I would strive to do better and to strive to be a better person in all things if possible
Would we spend our living life searching for ways to get over this inherent trait?
*I would not strive to find ways to get over this. Death is inevitable so why bother changing it and messing with it
Would we look to science and the supernatural for the answers or just succumb to the inevitable?
*People in general are curious by nature and i am sure that there are some who would look to science to see what could be done. For myself i wouldn't. I would be happy with just succumbing to the inevitable and be happy with the way my life turned out
I've actually been thinking a lot about death, lately. My fiance's mom is early 50's and just had her first mini stroke. The way she described it just sounded terrible. I never thought I would say this until now, but I am afraid of suffering. Something like that is not an isolated event. I'd rather put myself out of my misery.
To answer your question, no. I would continue to live my life. Mistakes are going to happen no matter what, and people are going to be who they are. The things that are going wrong right now, I don't have the power to fix. It's other people who can't change their way of thinking.
well...there is also suicide...where you are in control of the day and time of your end. TOTAL CONTROL!!!
But what about if suicide is a result of a mental illness?
Or chemical imbalance in body and-or brain?
We have little control over that!
I would protect my credit so I could leave something for my children and then the last week I would take out a personal add stating that my children are not responsible for any debt I incur and then lose my mind.
