I have been curious about what type of activities actually happen in various covens. I have looked at the list of covens and found some that I think I am very interested in.
So, do Coven Masters start scoping people out around level 18 or 19 and scoop them up when they hit 20?
Is there any prior communication between a vampire and a coven or do you just get a new message when you've been inducted the next time you log in?
Seems like they could have all people who made level 20 available during a 2 week window and the various covens get to draft or trade for individual vampires based on rank, or even inverse rank.
In one sense it's kind of cool because you feel like you've been drafted by a pro team. In another sense it sounds like you could be trapped in a coven that may not be the best fit for either the vampire or the coven.
If its not in the best interest of the coven, I saw that a vampire could be traded to another coven. That could be a good trade or someone dumping a problem child on someone else. I don't have the experience to accurately speculate at this juncture.
Anyway, I am looking forward to my eventual coven home, wherever that may be. Like I said, I have expressed interest in a particular coven already. I just hope I don't end up in Hufflepuff when I really wanted to be in Slytherin if ya know what I mean.

Hi:-). My understanding is that you are placed in a coven at status level 20. Promises to coven do occur. Talk to your mentorship. Be blessed, Lutris8
most of the time members don't get a choice unless they time it just right or get in a coven where the cm is cool and willing to trade you into the desired coven but yes you can talk to a cm of a coven you like ahead of time to let them know, usually the cm will stalk new members that they want to keep up to date on their leveling and activities, you will usually know who by how often they visit your profile
The best way to get into the coven of your choosing is communication with the CM and their ACM's. If you have a premium account, go on lurk when you hit level 17 or so. When you hit level 19, it is important to let the CM or ACM's know this and let them know when you are on and heading for level 20. This way they can be on and watching you. When you are about to update to level 20. tell the CM or ACM so the minute you update, they can induct you. Hope this helps.
As it is stated in the Vr manual, its simple: you have no say.
once you hit 20 you,re fair game till you Sire (or self delete)
Also promise stamps, forget that, there is no such thing, you can put it on your profile but it will have 2 effect: make you a prime target to induct or simply being ignored.
Some might want to be ok with that and wont bother to induct you, while others will hunt you down.
There is no other rules the that, no matter what you want, wish or think you are in title to choose, you got no say, as for trades, nothing is sure, it can be deny, ignored, so this is a basic thing, its like the basic animal instinct.
One thing is tho if a society has a lot of acm/trade master and is in constant communication with the member, once hitting 20 as the member hits it, there is a greater chance that society will get you since they will be there to watch.
I will say this again...
As long as you keep in communication with whomever the CM is of where you want to go, and DO NOT put promised stamps on your profile, just like CM up there said, you will be fine. However, you need to follow the CM or ACM's instructions to get in said coven, or you're going to find yourself somewhere you do NOT want to be..
This is how Vampire Rave works.
If I had just a PENNY for each time a member under level 20 had a brilliant idea of how to fix VR by eliminating forced induction, I would be a damn thousandaire lol
We have forced inductions for a GOOD reason. It's kind of like a seniority system almost. Those above level 100 get privileges that you do not get. Why? Because most of them have been here forever lol
My suggestions is that you read the VR Manual in it's ENTIRETY. This will help you get a better understand of why things are the way they are here. And this is what I tell EVERYONE who asks me this question.
There is a good and bad side to forced inductions...first of all you get to meet new people and experience new things bad part is you might be trapped in a coven filled with people you cant stand...there are some covens that target promise stamps because those stamps mean nothing....hell some covens target those in mentorships of people they don't like just to prove a point.
i was force inducted to a coven when i was still getting used to the site and eventually i got tossed around from coven to coven and now im back in the original coven i was force inducted into and im an acm so i think force inductions can be good but it all depends on your perspective
I found some of my best friends on here through force inductions to be honest hell I am still tight with these people today
VR like all things is going to be the experience you choose it to be. You control your own destiny ya know? You control your experience. Act accordingly kind of thing. :)
