Anyone have one they would like to share? It's October and I need some scary stories to tell my younger siblings.
Well i guess this is spooky because it's true. lol
When i was little, i remember running out of my bedroom scared to death, banging on my grandparent's bedroom door trying to get in.
They just thought i always had nightmares.
I still don't remember to this day, what scared me so bad.
Early last year, my grandfather got up in the middle of the night and was going to use the bathroom, but he noticed a figure of a man standing in his living room. He thought it was a burglar, so he yelled for the man to get out of his house! The man figure, turned and walked right through the wall.
My grandmother told me maybe a year before that happened, that when i was little, i used to tell her that i saw black things on the wall.
I believe now that whatever my grandfather saw, was the same thing as i saw too when i was younger, and yes, my grandfather still lives in the same house to this day.
I appreciate you sharing your story :)
It's spooky especially since it's true.
Last Thursday I was on the bus in the morning. I had my head down my eyes covered with my hands and I felt as if two people came and sat in the back of the bus. I looked up and though when I had my eyes covered I saw humanoid shadows. It was only me in the back when I looked. A bit later on the route two girls I go to school with irnoially sat in the place where the two shadows were.
Later I was sitting about five seats from the window of the library. I was on the computer doing school work and I feel that someone is watching me. I assume it was a group of people just going to their next class but happen to look at me. I look up anyway and I see a dark shadow figure staring at me. I looked back at it for a good few minutes before I looked back at my screen.
This was not my reflection in the window I was too far back to cast one. I also talked to a fellow student and he told me about these shadow people who he sees every now and again around the school.
Well, the other night I felt something touch me in my sleep. I shot up and had the weirdest feeling come over me. My PC turned it self on as well.
Not all that spooky, but it was quite odd. Scared me in the moment.

Spent the last weekend in an old closed down hospital to take photos with the owner’s permission. Closed since 9/11/01 the place was run down, but had been on a few ‘ghost shows’ on TV. 4 floors with over 200 bed count- the place was wonderful. The owner showed us how to lock the door we went in from the inside so he left us to stay as long as we wanted. 4 hours later we were on the third floor. While the basement and 1st floor was all black due to boarded up windows- the other floors full of light.
Friend who was with me was in front of me, going room to room. Now- this place had the old wooden heavy door that had the metal handles you had to hit, push against and open the door. They make a clicking noise when you hit the handle downward, unlatching it to open it. Not a handle, but a push type handle. Think the doors you go into that has the bar along them, the click they make.
So she is in front, I am taking photos of the hallway and she comes out of one room, the door pushing her out it looked like. “You want to cool off- go in there. The window is open and it is a breeze and a half.” Seeing as we just climb three floor, I could use the cooling off but the dust- no thinks. So the door slams shut as she steps away to continue up the hallway. This place has been added onto from 1935 when it was first turned into a hospital from a collage. Three elevators, three different stairways. Just a big place, shape like a bat with it’s wings open.
So we come to the center area and the nurse station is there. I set up a photo, telling her to stay out of the long exposed shot. I push the camera release and drop my hand away. That is when I hear the click. Now- my friend I can see, she is in front of me but I know she is behind the half way that was right at the nurse station. It's a place we learned she isn't in the shot, but kept to the rule when we go into these place of "Keep in eye sight". I also know there isn’t a door there. Door opens, wind sound, then is slams shut was behind me. It was that room.
“Hey XXX- did you hear that?” I turned, nothing in the hallway but the wires hanging down from the ceiling scrapers left. Moving, as in wind hitting them right in front of that room. Old ceiling tile on the floor, but nothing standing there. That I could see, that is.
She ask me what I was talking about and I looked back to her. The camera loud clicked, finished up the shot. “The door- did you hear it?” She step out from behind the wall, looking at me. “Yeah. You went into the room, right?” I raised my eyebrow. “I never step from here.” “But the door open…” She came toward me and we both looked at the room. “The wind is strong in there but.. how could it of open on it’s own? It latched.” “And the wind is blowing against the door, not with it.” We shared a look, and I picked up the tripod, readying to move on. “OK then…” “Yeah… let’s get this floor done.”
Only thing that happen the 6 plus hours we was there that day.
That is creepy! Here is my story:
Back in the summer of 2001, I spent those months sleeping in the basement so my father wouldn't have to worry about lifting the heavy window A/C in my bedroom window. I was also in a long-distance, online relationship with a guy for about a year at this point and we would always chat online at night when no one would be awake to bug us.
One night, I went to bed around 4am. I always kept the TV on for some light source and sound so it wouldn't be too quiet. I heard my dog's collar, which I knew wasn't possible because she never came downstairs at night. Then I felt like someone was in the basement with me - again, not possible as I knew both of my parents were fast asleep and it would be another couple of hours before my father would have woken up. I look in front of me, and see this white silhouette of a woman standing there with her arms reached out towards me. It looked like there was wind, as her dress was billowing around her ankles. She had long, wavy hair. I never saw her face.
For years, I couldn't sleep in the basement. I refused to. I tried to the night I came home with my college roommates, but I had a panic attack and couldn't sleep until we put on a light of some kind. After I lived away from the house for over three years, I can sleep down here just fine. I don't know if it was really the basement that was haunted, or if it was my own soul. Either way, it's uber-peaceful down here now. No anxieties about sleeping down here whatsoever. I really can't explain it.
