With the release of Dungeons and Dragons "3.5" Edition, Wizards decided to create a "megamodule" that captured the essence of the original. Reviews were largely very positive as Wizards seemed to have captured the old magic once again.

One advantage this "module" had going for it was that it was a 160 page hardbound book crammed with details that couldn't be included in the old 32-page module format. The appendices include new classes, spells, and a host of other "crunchy" data to improve the overall campaign.
