Millions of kids are bullied each year in thousands of schools. Not many people do much if anything to help stop or prevent it. Instead, they turn the other cheek and ignore it. Will the bullying ever stop?
One of several forms of bulling is verbal. One is insulted verbally trying to degrade that person whether it be something particular or in general. It is a constant thing that happens every time the bullier sees the person they bully. Often times it does not go away unless there is some kind of intervention. They do not know if it will be worse than before. In turn, they may get depressed and eventually kill themselves because the bullying is too much to bear. The possibility of suicide increases over time because of the verbal abuse.
Cyber bullying happens as much as mental and verbal. Fighting goes on over the internet over something stupid. Often times it can be worked out. Furthermore, one thing leads to another due to the fact that things will get out of control and not being monitored correctly. Prevention comes in more ways than one. Being more open minded and listening when needed is the one of the things that can help the most. Talking things out instead of fighting is another way to work things out. Looking at the whole picture in addition to looking at both sides of the situation and into the backgrounds and history might be the best way to solve all three forms of bullying. By looking, stopping and helping instead of turning the other cheek is something that should be done instead of ignored.
Standing up to bullies is the best thing that a victim can do. By voicing opinions and saying that it is hurtful is better than not saying anything at all and letting the bullying continue. Instead of being a victim be a friend. See whats going on in that persons life and talk about it. It may be tough for that person to talk about it but it will help.
