Those who think they know everything annoy those of us who do.

After a stint as House Master of Madadh-Alluidh that I became too busy with real life to keep up with the responsibility, I am once again a proud member of Caomhnoir-an-Eolas.

I am a magnet of my figmentation. And I always make perfect lack of sense. I'm a little over 8000 days old. I am unique and different, just like every other 'advanced' bipedal primate on the planet. If you're looking for flashy graphics and pretty pictures, look elsewhere. I'm going to keep this incarnation of my profile visually simplistic, however I intend on adding tidbits of at least semi-intelligent ramblings about various topics.

So you want to know more about me? No, as I expect you'll say? Well, too bad. If you don't continue reading, a highly trained team of space platypuses have a laser cannon mounted on an orbiting satellite aimed at your dome piece, ready to vaporize your gray squishy thinky-bits if you try to close your browser, click your back button, or navigate to another page without reading the rest of the way through, commenting, and rating. I don't care what you rate, but I prefer some type of interesting comment instead of a stamp. I can't really force you, but when I'm not happy, my army of platypuses, especially their commander-in-chief, Andy the Androgynous Platypus, aren't happy either. And they're watching you.

Ok, so about me. I'm Drew. I was born in Huntington, WV, and have lived most of my life in southern Ohio. If you look at a map, the point where Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia all meet is right about where I'm at. It's a pretty dull area. The scenery is nice, there's a lot of fresh air, the climate has a fairly broad range, and the humidity downright sucks. 90%+ nearly all summer long.

My tastes in music are extremely broad; I have yet to find a genre of music that I can't find at least a song or two I enjoy. That includes bluegrass. Underground rap and metal are generally what can be found in my cd player, mp3 player, minidisc player, or winamp playlist. Some music I don't tend to enjoy much, but nearly anything is at least tolerable.

I am also a bookworm. I have been from a very young age. By the age of 8 or 9, I was hooked on Stephen King. Some of my favorite authors include Chuck Palahniuk, Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Anne Rice, George Orwell, J.D. Salinger, Douglas Adams, J.R.R. Tolkien, Robert Jordan, Terry Goodkind, and Laurell K. Hamilton. A few of my favorite books are Survivor, Choke, and Fight Club all by Chuck Palahniuk, Blackwood Farm by Anne Rice, Odd Thomas by Dean Koontz, Beyond Good and Evil by Friedrich Nietzsche, The Republic by Plato, and The Brief and Frightening Reign of Phil by George Saunders.

I'm a semi-proficient computer geek. I passed the Cisco Certified Network Associate exam my Junior year of High School, and have had training for A+ and Net+ certifications as well. I have done a complete overhaul of the computer network at one of the local newspapers, and a full network installation at one of the local high schools. I have a passable knowledge of HTML, and I have been working on educating myself a bit on CSS and DHTML. I've meddled with Visual Basic programming as well. The last three computers I've owned I have pieced together myself. My current machine is an AMD Athlon XP 2200+ on a Soyo Dragon Ultra Platinum motherboard with 512mb of DDR RAM, two 60GB ATA/133 HDDs on a RAID controller, and a GeForce2 MX 32mb graphics card, since my GeForce4 Ti 4600 fried. I've spent about half my life working with computers and chatting on the internet. As a result, I have a few friends from online that I've known longer then any of my friends I still associate with in the real world. Yes, I know, that's kind of sad. For a fair portion of my life, the only social life I had to speak of was on internet communities. Currently, I'm going to Marshall University, where I'm majoring in Culinary Arts.

I am unable to place myself with any real degree of accuracy on either wing of the political spectrum, although fiscally I tend to be more conservative, while socially I lean more towards being liberal. I have much pride for the country I live in, but little respect for most of those currently in office. This country was built upon the greatest ideas in government the world has ever seen, with the exclusion of those made impractical by human nature, such as communism. Unfortunately, many of the ideals the country was built upon are no longer followed. The government continues to overstep its boundaries and limit our freedoms every chance it gets. And the majority of the American public not only stand by idly and allow to happen, but often are brainwashed into supporting it.

My spiritual beliefs are a combination of ideas from various religions, ranging from paganism, Christianity, atheism, eastern religions, as well as my own thoughts. It's an every-changing set of ideas and beliefs that make sense to me. My view of deity is one of the most simple aspects, yet the most impossible to fully grasp. It can be summed up in a single word: Infinity. I believe god to be the collective of everything that has ever, does, and will ever exist, across all time, space, and dimensions. Infinity is an utterly mind-boggling concept. I don't think it is possible for the human mind to fully visualize it. I think that everything is tied together, in some form or another. I think there are energies that we haven't discovered that are involved in these bonds.

I like cars. Both driving and working on them, although my skills are somewhat limited in the latter. I did own a 1991 Volkswagen Jetta that was in desperate need of work that I didn't have the money for, such as replacing a section of the exhaust, adjusting the timing and computer system, and securing countless rattles that become evident when I had the volume on my stereo turned up and a few hundred watts of low-frequency sound waves emanating from the two Rockford Fosgate 15" subs in the trunk. I now drive a '95 Honda del Sol si. 125bhp from a 1.6L SOHC VTEC. Targa convertible. 6 point graphite and chrome 17" rims. Carbon Fiber high-flow exhaust. Upcoming plans include HID headlamps, performance suspension, a custom paint job, and a JL Audio Stealthbox. My dream cars are a 1972 Ford Pantera, a Bugatti Veyron, and a Rolls Royce Phantom.

I consider myself a pacifist, but a realistic one who believes very strongly in the 2nd Amendment of the US Constitution. I abhor violence and believe it serves no productive purpose in the world. But I am aware that it will always be present in society. This is where my support of the 2nd Amendment comes into play. If I am forced into a situation in which I must either resort to violence or allow harm to come to myself or those I care for, I want to be able to resolve the conflict in the safest and most efficient way possible. In some of the most extreme cases, that would mean plugging a few shells into the offender. I will not let my aversion to violence result in myself or loved ones by those who do not share my views on it.

On a whole, I am a very laid-back person. I do my best to stay out of asinine drama and just enjoy myself. I have a habit of either not taking things overly seriously, or keeping a light-hearted tone with subjects I do take seriously.
