IMPORTANT NOTE - DECEMBER 2005
(And this is not directed at anyone in particular, just the system as a whole)
With the advent of this new "society" system, and discovering that I have no choice in whether I am part of a house or not, my venting (and the venting of those of other people) have been met with reactions along the line of "it's not going to change, so deal with it" and "It doesn't change anything". I say, wait a few months and you'll see the changes that will happen, not all of which will be intentional. I have had a long-standing practice of very specifically NOT joining any "houses" or other types of groups, anywhere, anytime. I don't like being forced into anything, even if the admins think it's no big deal. I especially don't like being forced into something and given the excuse of "it parallels vampire culture" - because the only culture that parallels is the lifestyler culture.
I AM NOT A LIFESTYLER.Therefore, I'm taking some extended time away from this site to decide whether I should continue to participate, or whether I should delete my account entirely. I am leaving this up in the meantime while I think about it.

Yes I CAN be a pissy snarky bitch when I'm in a bad mood. Deal. I'm not going to coddle you people because you have the self-esteem of tissue paper - you want to know whether I'm pissed at you or whether it's because of something you said or did, then ask me dammit. I'm not responsible for any erroneous assumptions you make now or in the future.
