INTRODUCTION:

My name is Shanelle. I am 5'8 with midnight blue/black hair and I have hazel eyes. I am a very, very shy person at first but once I get to know you I can be a very good friend. I am a good listen and I am also willing to help anyone who has a problem, to the best of my ability. I am not spoiled, instead I like to spoil my friends even when I don't have the money to do it with. I am generally a very nice, but I have a mean streak in me.

I love to read just about anything. I love to hang out with my friends, especially my best friend Courtney. I don't have a lot of friends, instead I have a choice few people that I hold very close to my heart. I tend to choose to hang out with people I really connect with, rather than a bunch of people who don't really know me. I have been betrayed by to many people, so I tend to wait and watch how others interact before I really trust them.

I finished my first year at Old Dominion University and I am taking the summer off to work. I start TCC in the Fall. (hopefully I'll only be there for a year and then I can transfer back to ODU)

I hope to earn a degree in either computer science or accounting. I haven't decided yet. I don't really want to do either of those, but it is the best I can do at this time in my life. I hope that soon I will know what it is that I really want to do with my life, but for now I am just going to go with the flow.

RANDOM FACTS ABOUT ME:

~I was born on Jan. 23, my Uncle (on my moms side) was born on Jan. 23, and my Grandfather (on my moms side) was born on Jan. 23. Three generations of my family were born on Jan. 23. I also have cousins who's birthdays are on the 22nd and 24th of Jan.

~I am left handed, my grandfather is left handed and my unlce was left handed until my grandfather made him learn to write right handed (when he was very young)

~I work at K-Mart. I've been there for a almost 3 years and I hate it, but it pays the bills.

~My friends joke me for this, but I love Harry Potter. I don't know why, but I do. I guess it has to do with the fact that it is a place of magic and fantasy and that has always caught my attention.

~I love the Playstation 2 Game Kingdom Hearts, for the same reason I love Harry Potter. I have almost won the game. I've been working on it for probably 1 year now, I don't get much time on the Playstation, my broth hogs it.

~I am obsessed with Japanese Animation. I love Sailor Moon, and I recently purchased a series called Preteer it was hilarious, if you like that kind of stuff you should check it out.

~I have known my best friend (Kiria here) for 8 years (ever since 6th grade), a friend of mine at the time introduced us and when we found out that we both liked Sailor Moon there was no separating us after that.

~I have fallen in love with Ville Valo's voice. (HIM lead singer,for those who don't know who he is. There are pictures at the bottom of my profile of him.)

~I love The Nightmare Before Christmas. I have a meaager bag Kiria bought me for Christmas this year (2005) and I take it every where with me. I'll try and get a picture of it for my portfoilo.

~I hate people who lie and steal from me (yes I've had people I cared for steal from me and now it takes a lot for me to trust someone)

~I started playing the clarinet in 5th grade and I quiet the last day of high school, I hated playing the clarinet, but it was my grandfathers dream for me to play, so I played. He kept the clarinet my mom played when she was a little girl. He took it to be re-furbished (spelled right?) so that I could play it. I can still play, but it sounds like a nails on a chalk board.

~I'm a very insecure person. When I know I have to stand up in front of the class to present something, I will either skip that day of class or not to the work so I don't have to present. I hate that about me but that's just the way I am.

~I have 4 1/2 piercings in my left ear. The 1/2 is from a really old piercing that never fully closed. I had to get my first hole done twice because I got bad grades in 6th grade and my punishment was to have my piercings closed. The next summer I got them done again because I got good grades. (I recently added the 4th hole in both ears on 8/3/06)

~I am missing a chunk of my left eyelid. When I was little I had the chicken pocks and a piece of my eyelid never grew back. You can't really tell unless you get really close to my face. Most of my family doesn't even know that I am missing a chunck of my eyelid.
