and there's no one here who loves you like i do, thank god this much is true, thank god this much is true.
The name is Jennifer.
I'm eighteen years young, and will soon be attending Bakersfield College with a major in Psychology.
I work for Regal Entertainment Group at the Edwards Theater here in Bakersfield as a concessionist, and I really do enjoy my job! :)
My physical appearance is fairly boring: brown hair, brown eyes, barely 5’1”.
I don't drink, smoke, or do drugs, and I don’t plan on starting any of those.
The only piercings I have are my ears, and I have one tattoo on my back near my neck on the right side. I plan on getting more, but I'm unsure of what I want yet!
I am happily taken and in love with my boyfriend Stephen, aka “DeadHeir” here on VR, and he is absolutely amazing :)
I'm usually an optimistic person. Other times I can be quite pessimistic … it just depends on the situation at hand.
I'm outgoing yet shy. Quiet yet loud. A saint yet a sinner. Sweet yet spicy. Funny yet serious. An extrovert yet an introvert.
Personality wise … sarcastic, motherly, sweet, caring, very loving and protective, dorky, at times I can be quite nerdy, witty, independent, intelligent, confident, talkative, always willing to help others, silly, wise, insightful, deep, bubbly, friendly. This list is only a glimpse into my personality, and I would rather someone get to know me and talk with me before judging me and my personality. There is more to me than meets the eye. So get to know me, k? :)
I enjoy a lot of things in life. The main ones being: spending time with family/friends/my boyfriend, singing/music, and reading.
I have very few friends. This is mainly due to the fact that I’m not interested in partying and throwing my life away just for a few hours of fun. I have life-long goals and dreams and I’m not going to screw it up while I’m young. I think that to some people, I’m a prude because I don’t drink and smoke and have sex. But to me, there is much more to life than having fun. I take my goals and dreams seriously, and at times I think that people are intimidated by this fact. The few friends that I do have, I hold very close to me. They are a major part of my life and without them I would not be who I am today.
Family is one of the most important things to me in life, which is why I am so family-oriented. I do many things with my family, and am close to all of them. Some people think it's strange that I am so close with my family .. but I just think that being close with your family is a concept of family life that is starting to die off in the modern world. It will for me, however, never change.
My boyfriend, Stephen, is the most amazing man. I feel incredibly lucky to be with him. Each day with him is a blessing. He is so understanding and caring. I can be myself around him, and never have to worry if I am doing something wrong, or if I'm saying the wrong thing. I have never been so happy with anyone as I am with him. I love you Stephen, with all my heart.
Singing, and music in general, is one of my passions. I was in choir all four years of high school, and I loved every minute of it. Music will always be a huge part of my life.
I like all kinds of music. I don't have a favorite artist, or band, or genre. I like something in everything I hear. I do particularly like movie scores, musical soundtracks, classical pieces (not necessarily those of famous composers), and choral music. But, those types of music are only a small part of what I enjoy. Even though a lot of people hate teenage pop songs, I tend to love them haha. Just something about the music makes me want to get up and dance, and they’re always so catchy. Don’t hate, haha. But I also enjoy any kind of rock music and occasionally country, depending on what artist it is (I love Taylor Swift … hate Gretchen Wilson .. you see my point. Ultra twangy country is not something I like).
Musicals are another thing that I really enjoy. My favorite is Wicked. I haven't seen many, and Wicked is the only stage production I've ever seen. The others have been movies. However, I hope to see Phantom of the Opera someday soon in Vegas :)
Books and reading are a big part of my life, even if I have little time for them. I enjoy all kinds of literature. The only literature I have never read are religious texts or literature that has to do with religion. I don't have anything against them; I just find them particularly boring.
I love all kinds of books. Fantasy, Fiction, Romance, Horror .. the list goes on. A lot of the literature I read has to do with vampires, werewolves, the paranormal, faeries, etc, or romance. I haven't read much adult fiction, seeing as how I enjoy young adult fiction/authors more. I also really enjoy reading memoirs about difficult topics, such as abuse, rape, drug addiction, etc. I find them to be extremely inspiring to me. Books provide a safe haven for me; they have always been the escape from reality that I have so desperately craved at times. Without literature, I would probably not even want to live. I create book lists and am constantly on the lookout for new things to read. For the record, Twilight is okay. I don't love it, I don't hate it. No, it is not OHHMYGODDDAHHMAZING. And it's not like we all haven't read a plot similar to Twilight's before. Kthx.
I would list my favorite books on here, but the list is far too long for that. If you have any books you would like to suggest to me, feel free to do so! I promise I will look into them :)
As far as religion goes, I am not religious. I believe in God, and that's it. I have my own religious beliefs, and don't need a church to tell me what I believe is right/wrong. I have tried going to church, but it's not for me. I like being able to believe what I want to believe.
Likes: food, music, movies, cuddling, flowers, sunshine, windy days with light sprinklings of rain, mountain dew, reading, sleeping in, staying up late, my boyfriend, singing, laughing, being a dork, facebook, sudoku, chatting with people online, making new friends, talking on the phone, playing computer games, watching CSI/Fringe/Glee/House/Bones, painting my nails, animals, pillows, trampolines, swimming, autumn, christmas, hot chocolate, hot showers, baking, helping others, doing community service, days off, seeing my boyfriend, fruit, chocolate, chapstick, taking surveys.
Dislikes: people who don't type as they would speak, people who use "u" instead of "you" and the like, liars, cheaters, being sick, being scared, the dark, vegetables, spicy food, going to the doctor, fighting with anyone close to me, failure, feeling like I did something wrong, roller coasters, anyone who abuses anyone else in any way, how good things only last for so long, when sports take over my tv channel and I can't watch any of my shows, animal cruelty, hospitals, crying, being overly sensitive occasionally, feeling too hot or too cold, waking up early, school, not being able to see my boyfriend.
I really enjoy making new friends and talking to people, so please feel free to add, rate, bite, talk, or stalk me. If you add me and would like me to add you back, just drop me a note and I will return the favor! :)
I have AIM, MSN, and Yahoo IM for those of you interested. Just ask for them! :)
If there is anything else you would like to know, or feel that I have left out, just ask me :)
